The rib injury Gio Bernard sustained in Thursday night's loss at Miami is not expected to be serious.Bernard was on his way to a monster game with 15 touches for 105 yards and two touchdowns before taking a shot to the ribs in the fourth quarter. He was in pain on the sidelines, jogged to the locker room and then emerged to watch overtime from the sidelines with his pads still on. It sounds like some kind of bruise or maybe a slight fracture. The electric Bernard has a long week to get ready for a Week 10 game at Baltimore. For now, consider him questionable.
He looks the same as what I saw.

This is where I'm at (redraft). Who or what level player are you looking at in return, assuming you're looking to move him for a wide receiver?
I'm thinking this too, although CIN plays @PIT and vs. MIN in Weeks 15 and 16 ... so if you can afford to hold him, it may be worth it...
Nope, can't afford to hold beyond this weekend and feel now is the best time peddle him. i could gamble that he takes over primary rb duties, but I just don't see that happening. I've deleted my WR bench building my roster and now must replensh.
I saw nothing but athleticism in his college days! He just didn't have the hype that most some did coming out of college. I could not believe he fell to me at the #5 pick.
Maybe it was A.J. Green syndrome--he made it look so effortless, that it looked like he wasn't doing anything special.
he was actually much slower in the game then real life and didn't have to make that many people miss that quick as he was around the corner when he was reversing field quite quickly, no wasted space and didn't have to really juke until the 20 not 30.

You know, I've been thinking about this. The very reason I was scared about using Gio (Baltimore's excellent rushing defense) is the very reason we SHOULD use him. Law Firm's typical 1.8 YPC should amount to about 5 inches per carry against the Ravens. So if you are Jay Gruden, do you keep banging your head against a brick wall in the run game, or do you find another way to get production from the RB position? Dump-offs and screen passes... that's how a RB will be effective against Baltimore, and it ain't gonna be BJGE on the receiving end. Gio could have a nice day as a receiver.
