RB Isaac Guerendo, SF (1 Viewer)

So great physical tools, but no processor? Haven't done a deep dive on all of his runs in the NFL, but there are definitely a couple that are glaring, even for my untrained eyes.

Was this definitely an issue that held him back in college, or is a fair share of it a rookie adjusting to the pro game?

Are there examples of "raw" NFL RBs with poor instincts and decision-making early in their careers, that figured it out?

Can't say I'm optimistic that these shortcomings will be coached up if it didn't already happen to a greater degree. With that said, I'm not sure that I can afford not to stash him off the waiver wire in dynasty if there's any chance that he figures it out.
I think this is Christine Michael's year.

I thought he was a speed guy? He looked pretty easy to run down on that long run, even before he decided that he might not need to score to end the game.

Yeah, I wasn’t overly impressed. I think SF needs to hope for their sake Mason’s injury is short-term. There was a noticeable difference in the offense with him out.

Feels like a buy low window for Guerendo right now as a potential season-end kingmaker. Dude looks so explosive running for this offense. CMC is back, but how long does he stay? No one knows.

Huh? He's, at best, the third RB option. Both CMC and Jordan would have to go down him to even sniff the opportunity. And from what we seen of him so far he's really not that good. He's not terrible but he's far from a number one rb

he's far from a number one rb

14 for 85, and what would have been two scores had he not slid to kill the end of game clock, last time we saw him play for San Fran offense. Won't debate merits of writing him off due to his depth position - that might hold very true. But to say he's far from a #1 RB if he gets his chance, I dunno. Small sample, but while I agree his eye test shows suspect vision at times, it also shows the 4.33 speed and his size - he's not a small RB and he's moving FAST.

As you know I am holding two roster spots with Mason & Guerendo and they're not getting dropped.

The nose knows, as you know, nose. You keep that Guerendo, friend. You keep him near.

Grabbed him in my other league, where men can be civilized and not have waiver wires eaten to the bone by the horde of starving FBG long-bench savages.

Same thing said about Mason. Hopes wilt and die in the chill of November.

Matchups and talent don’t matter at this point in the season with RB injuries everywhere and the killer week 14 bye-magedon looming. He’s a must add for almost every single team with roster space.

2cents, of course :)

If only he was available. This is only for redraft leagues.

What RB injuries? There's been like 2 all year and most of them have been on the 9ers lol. Only other injured starting rb right now is Dobbins.

Why do you constantly do this?
I think we’re at the point of pointing this out since we sometimes combine discussions for both. What’s wrong with mentioning league type?

You’re right. Not a single other RB has missed time.

nothing wrong that I can see. I don't play Dynasty, but I know plenty do. Spend everything on Guerendo makes sense in redraft, not so much in dynasty.

Well no kidding he's the #1 now.

Literally the #1, #2 and #3 RBs had to go down with injury in order for him to get this spot. He wins by default since there is LITERALLY no one left. You are awarded no points.

Dropped him after McCaffrey's second game back.

@BBFFMikey
When Jordan Mason was hurt in week 8, #49ers rookie RB Isaac Guerendo handled 17 touches—including 3 catches on 4 targets—for 102 scrimmage yards and 1 TD (19.2 PPR points).

The new RB1 in Kyle Shanahan’s offense is ready to win you some #fantasyfootball championships!

@RotoStreetWolf
Isaac Guerendo is the type of pick up you spend 100% of your FAAB on with zero hesitation

Stretch run hero written all over him

Congrats to those with the most FAAB remaining, you just secured a top-5 RB in Isaac Guerendo for the rest of the season

It’s really fun grinding out an entire fantasy football season to put yourself in a good position, just to lose in the first round to the person who autodrafted and never paid attention so they have $100 FAAB left for Isaac Guerendo

Don't be obtuse. That's not all you're doing.

CURRENTLY name another starting RB that's out besides those 2.

I doubt he is top 5 ROS, but he is definitely worth dumping whatever you have left at this point in the season.

If you have someone who auto drafted and made the playoffs despite never paying attention then your league sucks. Not sure why said person would start paying attention now.

I’m saying most teams likely have had a revolving door of RBs this season with injuries and bye weeks so likely have room on their rosters to spend everything they have on this guy.

You accuse JohnnyU of being obtuse but you’re doing the same thing here imho.

Fantasy teams need starting RBs, especially this time of year. Simple as that.

All I know is he’s had very few opportunities, and seems like every few times he touches the ball he’s gone for 60+.

He could have a couple TDs but it was end of game & he gave himself up.

There’s definitely potential for top 7-10 ROS. He’ll be a bellcow. They have no one else. Volume is king.

Hopefully he doesn’t poop the bed.
