I’m buying low.
Well it helped that they sent the zamboni out to clean up all those banana peels.Remember a few weeks ago when this guy was terrible?
This guy gets the ball, gets any sort of momentum and the entire stadium just gasps. He's a threat to hit a home run every time. Exciting stuff.

20+ fantasy points in 3-straight games of varying scripts.
As I said before... Jamaal Charles 2.0
Quoted for posterity.Gibbs>>Bijan.
I want a speed back who can catch out of the backfield to pair up with a power back. The every down back is a relic.
Calling Bijan an every down back is like calling a Ferrari your daily driver.
Scandalous disrespect for Bijan over here at FBG Forums.
Update:Update
In terms of the 2 RBs the best thing the Lions did was trade back out of 6 and in addition to getting Gibbs they used the extra pick to get LaPorta.
I would bet he gets it vs his old team next week.“But Monty is going to come back and steal all the GL work!”
Knowing how this team does things I would say he is a safe start vs Chicago.I would bet he gets it vs his old team next week.“But Monty is going to come back and steal all the GL work!”
Oh wow. That's right. Montgomery a lock for 2 TDs.I would bet he gets it vs his old team next week.“But Monty is going to come back and steal all the GL work!”
I’m not sitting Gibbs going forward regardless of matchup.I couldn’t sit Gibbs against the Bears though. No idea if Fields is starting, but this game could be fantasy gold like the Charger game was.
Same, he's basically the hottest player in fantasy right nowI’m not sitting Gibbs going forward regardless of matchup.I couldn’t sit Gibbs against the Bears though. No idea if Fields is starting, but this game could be fantasy gold like the Charger game was.
He and Monty both have plenty of upside in this offense.
No one can argue about him anymore?
Some of the posts in this thread after the first couple weeks of the season are positively hilarious. For a "change of pace" back he seems to be ok.
Not really on his usage. It’s similar to how the Giants used Tiki Barber (with Dayne) and how the Saints used Kamara (with Ingram, et al).His usage and success at the goal line is a bit unexpected.
I think Monty will be the week to week better play but Gibbs will have spike weeks when he goes offSo next week do you start Gibbs or Monty in a 3 team non-ppr Guillotine league where you also have ASB?
Someone made a good point above about Monty facing his old team.
In DFS Pollard, Barkly, Hall, Cook, every guy in the league named Ty returned better value. Probably a worse case scenario where both Money and Gibbs are priced based on peak value earlier in the year and both are doing well enough their prices stick.
Nailed it!I would bet he gets it vs his old team next week.“But Monty is going to come back and steal all the GL work!”
Gibbs nearly had two TDs. Took a 6 yard carry down to the one, Monty punched it in.Last week Gibbs had 17 touches for 112 and two TDs, both from one yard. Montgomery had 12 touches for 116 and a TD.
Today both of them had 14 touches for just under 100 yards each and both had a short TD run. Mind you the Lions only had the ball for 19 minutes.
I don't think it's going to change.
The best part about that run was Gibbs ran it hard up the middle, lowered his shoulder and almost scored because of it.Gibbs nearly had two TDs. I am not sure who the Lions play next week. I would defer to those guys who know the ins and outs and what have yous more.So next week do you start Gibbs or Monty in a 3 team non-ppr Guillotine league where you also have ASB?

Since Week 7, among RBs Jahmyr Gibbs is:
- 4th in rushing yards
- 2nd YPC (Warren)
- 5 TDs T2nd
- 23 receptions 3rd
- Receiving Yard 4th
- Receiving first downs T1st
- Finished RB3, RB1, RB2, RB3 for the 4 weeks he played (bye week in the middle)
Yeah I have found that interesting as well, how they have been defying the expected "thunder and lightning" identities. Not defying to the contrary, but defying to the somewhat neutral. It's interesting how Gibbs did not take over Monty's role - though he did well in his three solo starts - nor did Montgomery's presence hinder the rookies development. They have very complimentary roles, but not so distinct it makes it easy for defensive coordinators to scheme. Jahyr is thought to be the splash play home run htter, but just last week David had a 75 yarder. The primary role for Gibbs is as the pass catching back, but Monty had two chunk receptions in the game winning drive yesterday. We think of Monty as being the GL back, but Gibby has almost an even split in RZ carries since the veteran came back from his rib injury.
It's one of those rare situation where it isn't either or, it is totally and. Start both if you are lucky enough to roster both, and start either one knowing the pie is big enough for both backs to be fantasy relevant.
I love a good outside run or little pass to a fast RB in the flat at the goal line ... They have all the way to the sideline to try to get that corner.I actually like Gibbs slightly better as a goal line back because I think speed is under appreciated in that role
Agreed. He shut it down around the 4-yd line and still walked into the corner pylon yesterday.I love a good outside run or little pass to a fast RB in the flat at the goal line ... This is a perfect description.I would describe it as a Thunder and Lightning backfield, but the Thunder has some Lightning in him and the Lightning has some Thunder in him.
