NE clearly schemes to limit big plays and not get beat by CLE’s outside receivers. That meant they could live with Chubb gaining yards on the ground.
I'm skeptical. I think they're still getting adjusted offensively, but I don't know how much they can turn it up at this very moment. You seem to indicate that they aren't going full-bore and that they're leaving plays in the book and tricks in the bag. There's a difference between eventually finding cohesion and having had the capacity to but deliberately not scoring or holding back the playbook, as it were.

They’re bottom 3rd in the league this year, averaging not much more than that precious 82 yards (by the backfield) you’re all excited about.
at the Chubb comments. 
They have been up 24-0 in half their games. Yes, they have been using a fraction of their playbook. They have had multiple games in the fourth quarter where they had fourth and short and didn’t go for it or kick a FG. The sports media of former NE players has said they have barely dipped into the playbook to not have formations and plays on tape for opponents to plan for.
This brings up something I often thought about. Next year we are going to look at White's yearly points not realizing that almost nobody would have started him this week. Is there a database of start % by site for previous weeks? A guy like Lee Evans / Hammy Watkins who score 3/4/4/2/48/2/3/5 are not that useful because they were on your bench for the 48 points.
I started him, felt like a White week, on the road, might fall behind, dink n dunk city.
The guy in my league who just snuck into the last playoff spot last night has been starting White AND Michel all year.
Yeah, it was a great week to start him and a great idea to bench Fuller. Weird thing was, PFF was telling people to outright drop him, which gave me pause. It just...I wish I had looked at FO's DVOA numbers against the receiving yards to DB. If I had known that, it would have definitely swung.
Regardless of the stats, if Mack was healthy I probably would of had a tough time playing White over him. The stats made me feel like there was a decent chance for him to have a good game. Didn't really have any other options and just got lucky.
Isn't this comparing apples and oranges? CMC never comes off the field. White is a 3rd down receiving specialist. CMC played 1039 snaps last year vs. 490 for White. White had 47% of the snaps CMC did. 47% of 124 targets = 58 targets. White had 95 targets last year. I know the math isn't that simple, but White is not about to play 1,000+ snaps and become an every down back. White had 123 targets in 2018 (which was far and away his career high). In his other 4 seasons with significant playing time (so excluding 2018), White has averaged 77 targets.
In non-PPR, I don't think White is a very useful fantasy asset. PPR yes, although I don't see him having the same amount of usage as two years ago.
I am a punt on all NE RBs this year for a number of reasons. As we saw last week, Cam will have weeks where he is the primary RB and get the goal line carries. BB has come out and said given the abbreviated offseason, he plans on substituting players across most positions to keep them fresh and try to limit injuries. He did that against the Dolphins with the running backs.
It’s unlikely NE would have that many RBs active on game day. Taylor would either be a healthy scratch or sent back to the practice squad once Harris comes back. But for now he certainly is in the mix.
If he keeps doing what he did last week he has an excellent chance to be in the mix...the next two games will be crucial for him...he needs to make the most of his opportunities while Harris is out...although Burkhead will probably be hurt be then so it won't matter.
I heard them say that during the game. Man that sucks.
