RB Jeff Wilson, MIA (2 Viewers)

I think I messed up by accepting a trade for Christian Watson for this guy. Picked him up this morning and the Mostert owner offered the trade. I have Wright so I thought it was a good swap but not so sure now after reading this thread.
Is this a redraft league? Wilson is probably just a 1 or 2 game max player. If you needed the spot start at RB then probably not a good move but Watson could perform all year if he stays healthy.

Solid trade for a guy you picked up off waivers unless you needed a RB.

I couldn’t believe our waiver run today when the commissioner dropped 421 of 1000 on him and he doesn’t even have any of the other Miami RBs. He damn well better start him this week, LOL.

Don’t think it is a bad stash, really. I have zero confidence that Achane stays healthy this year.

Also, I anticipated this Sunday and put in a small blind bid for Wilson in dynasty. I had finally dropped him this year, but now it seems like he's back in play. I desperately need RB help, too, so this is going to be a nice filler. I'm also holding. I don't trust Mostert to stay healthy this year. He's 32 or so. Last year was Mostert's swan song, I think, although he never did get too much run as a youngster (he was a special teamer and was cut from about six teams).

But yeah, Wilson is a grab and a hold depending on how he, Achane, and Wright split time. Wilson is going to get the hard yards out of that bunch, strangely enough.

My assumption on the Dolphins backfield this week

If Achane plays, it's a very limited role with that ankle. I lean towards him sitting

Jeff Wilson - early down back, goal-line work. Just outside my top 20 RBs

Jaylen Wright - passing-down back, COP rushing. Game breaking ability and touchdown upside but may be limited due to greenness. Inside my top 36 RBs

Wilson has been a steady rushing hand. Wouldn't shock me if Dolphins lean on him a bit

Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins Touchdown Player Prop Predictions: James Cook and Jeff Wilson Jr. takeover

Excerpt:

Bills vs Dolphins anytime touchdown scorer pick: Jeff Wilson Jr. (+125)

Line available at Bet365 Sportsbook at time of publishing.

If you’re looking on FanDuel to wager on Jeff Wilson Jr. to score, close your app now. FanDuel has the backup running back priced at -165 – a precaution if De’Von Achane sits. Luckily, Bet365 has Wilson priced at +125 — a price I would still play if Achane is active. DraftKings is still hanging Wilson to score at plus money. Even if Achane is active, I would presume he will be limited in some capacity. He already has a laundry list of injuries under his belt for his short career, isn’t built for 15+ carries and is now on a short week.

Wilson looked phenomenal in the limited work he saw in Week 1. He carried the ball 5 times for 26 yards, including breaking off a 14-yarder. Achane was the only back for the Dolphins to get a red-zone touch in Week 1. I expect Wilson to take over that role with Raheem Mostert already ruled out.

Got him in all 3 of my leagues. Starting him in 2. Was going to be 1 but Nabers getting injured today, I swapped him in.

This guy will always have a paycheck so long as Shanahan and McDaniel are running stuff at their respective places.

Back with Miami, signed to the practice squad for now
Jeff can do it all, at a midling level. Career 4.5 ypc, 2 good years in Miami, last year he was injured and didn't play much. He has played special teams and he's a depth piece until Wright returns. At 29, this could be his last hurrah.

Back in the 305 @rockaction
