RB Kyle Monangai, CHI (2 Viewers)

Are we really putting a lot of stock into the game against the Bengals? I don't believe it changes anything if Swift is 100%. Forget the blocking stuff (which is important), but Swift is way more dynamic and a much better receiver. The way Monangai has to gain yardage is a tough road to hoe in the NFL.

That said, I can see Monangai earning a decent split even if Swift is healthy...more if they're still concerned about the groin injury.
He gained almost 200 total yards in his first career start. Yes, he’s legit.
I can buy he's a legit NFL player, but we need to compare him to Swift. What would Swift have done against the Bengals with the same touches?

Look at the top RBs in the league. Most all of them have dynamic traits. I'm not saying Monangai is a scrub, but he's best used as a role player.

I’m a Monangai fan, a friend clued me in preseason, saw him play (on TV) vs the Saints, I thought he looked the part. But for comparison sake the Jets RBs went 25/198/2 & 8/67/0 receiving the week before vs CIN. Bears went 31/207/1 & 3/22/0. No I didn’t see the CHI-CIN game but I watched all of Monengai vs NO. I also don’t think I’ve seen a discussion on Brittain Brown’s gallop to the posts, obviously there were some breakdowns.

Who do you see as Gibbs?

Swift has been and remains Homeless Gibbs. Just a Gai is young MontyJam.

Importantly, Ben Johnson pie could be fairly large if Caleb can keep his **** together.
I would bet against that last part. The bears schedule gets really tough RoS and Caleb won’t be playing against Cincy every week.

We need the Tyson Bagent era to begin sooner than later, for the sake of all Bears fantasy pieces.
LOL That's some serious wish casting.
It is, yes. As a holder of a couple of Bears.

But it won’t surprise me at all if Caleb gets benched at some point this season for his league worst inaccuracy and bonehead decisions. Ben Johnson wants to win games, and might do what needs to be done if it comes down to it.
:fishy:

Jumping out of the boat now. Cheers.

Idk, but did he look like the rebirth of “Kareem Hunt” in his first start?
