RB Kyle Monangai, CHI (1 Viewer)

My 12 team league has 21 roster spots
Are waivers have nothing left,I know that feeling..
The Bears running game is one I avoided completely this year after owning Swift last year.. and think door is open for Monagia to take over if Swift as rb1on the Bears. It just might take half the season before the coaches make the change.

I think people are underestimating the hold Swift has on the starting RB job.

I just traded for Monongai because I roster Swift and if he is injured and misses time I believe Monongai will see the biggest bump in workload. It's also entirely possible his role doesn't change and Roschon takes over for Swift.

But the idea that Swift will be sidelined doesn't track with this entire off season. Spending a 7th on a slow RB is the only move the Bears made in the backfield. Johnson knows Swift well, if he was not convinced he could handle the job he would have made at least one more move. Then again Devin Singletary was in a similar spot last year so, it wouldn't be entirely unprecedented.

I figure Rachaad White would be a similar example. When Tucker could barely get a snap as a rookie, I concluded, they are obsessed with Rachaad, no one is bumping him. Then some fourth-rounder with meh-surables showed up.
IDK I don't view Rachaad similarly, I could be wrong about this but I think Todd Bowles is a little hands off with the offense and, if his new OC wanted a new RB he was going to get it.

I also never thought Rachaad had a hammerlock on the offense. He was drafted under Leftwich as OC, survived Canales and got supplanted under Coen. Daboll and Johnson had much longer histories with Devin (drafted under Dabol and three seasons together), and Swift (not drafted under Campbell/Johnson but played two years together in Det).

But, it's probably splitting hairs. It could happen, I just don't consider it very likely barring injury.

Off topic, but White would look damn good in KC right now.
