RB Kyren Williams, LAR (1 Viewer)

Opps... I apologize.. I actually took him rd 2, and Hill in round 1 at #6..

Hill was so bad on Thursday, I forgot about him.
Ok so in a 16 man league you took him at 21st overall. Nothing that bad about what he's put up for taking him 21st overall. He has 2 tds.

On pace to return 8 punts. McVay playing 4D chess. Best way to protect your RB/PR is to just let the other teams score a lot.

Is Rivers now the handcuff, or should us Kyren owners still hold onto Corum? With byes coming and injuries mounting I am trying to figure out if Corum is expendable at this point in redraft.

18.5 PPR points at half. He is so under rated. Yes, even for a 2nd rounder. This coming from someone that wanted 0 shares of this dude. I was so wrong.

IM a Kyren owner and am holding Corum for the foreseeable future. If Kyren goes down I would expect Corum to get 60-70% of the touches and goal line work.

With Puka and Kupp back, this offense is humming.

he’s been amazing but given his lengthy injury history, it’s a matter of time before he breaks down under the huge workload. I know McVey will just continue to ride him, but would like to see Corem spell him a bit more as we move into the second half of the year

I don’t think I’ve seen people pray for someone’s downfall as much as Kyren haters do lol. It’s wild.

Anybody listen to The Podfather from PlayerProfiler? He’s driving that train. Made several bold claims in the offseason that Corum would have this job soon blah blah and he’s doubling down on it now saying Kyren isn’t good instead of just taking the L.

The Coachspeak Index
#Rams HC Sean McVay on Kyren Williams:

“He comes to life in that red area. He’s got a nose for the end zone… He obviously plays really big in those critical situations.”

“He’s definitely made his fantasy owners proud, I’m sure.”

Based on your description, I doubt I will ever listen to these clowns.

Doubting Kyren was logical going into the season. Now? :lmao:

Just saw him go for this...

Kyren Williams, Brian Thomas Jr. and an early 2nd for

J.Chase & J.Myers and an early 4th

Yep listen to him and yep I have Kyren in dynasty. Not one he’s going to back down on 😂

Corum has looked very good, shifty and powerful, Kyren has looked GREAT. Who knows what the Rams will do with his contract next season, but this guy is a great football player. Always hard to let a guy like that go but Kyren deserves to get paid.

Kyren is signed through 2025 and unless something happens to him next year (severe dropoff or injury), he's going to be a Ram for a long time no doubt. Corum may just be a high end stash for the next three years.

I understand, he's still on his rookie contract through 2025 which means they're going to have to make a decision on what they're going to do with him sometime next year, if not sooner. Kyren is a young 24, playing like one of the best running backs in the league and is making less than 1M a year because of when he was drafted and the position he plays. Kyren will undoubtedly want to get paid and it's likely he'll want clarity before the 2025 season begins. It's also likely/smart that the Rams will simply attempt to franchise him after next season, but will Kyren accept that, not hold out, etc?

Personally, I believe the Rams should pay him somewhere between what CMC and Saquon are making because of his production and the type of teammate he is, but we all know the short shelf life of running backs in this league and Kyren is taking a lot of abuse over the last two years. So what's the smart play as a franchise?

We're also living in strange times where guys like Derek Henry, Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs are being allowed to become free agents when the teams have no real viable replacements. I guess my only point is, with the running back position, expect the unexpected.

The teams that let those guys walk (assuming you mean Josh Jacobs) are bad teams that had no reason to invest in a mostly replaceable position. The teams that signed them have SB aspirations. I think the Rams are closer to the latter than the former.

Yes, Josh, I'll correct my original post. A better, albeit lesser example of what you're looking for may be Pollard then. Cowboys would undoubtedly be better with him on the team. And the funny part about Pollard is the Titans signed him for pretty much the same amount/year Henry is making. Would Henry have stayed if they valued him more or is he just chasing a ring? Who knows, but the Titans sure didn't make him feel all that welcome towards the end IMO. Mixon is another interesting case. They thought they were getting off cheap with Moss. Well, they were cheap, but Moss has shown nothing. Given another chance at negotiations, Mixon might still be a Bengal. They had the cap space and they're likely letting Higgins walk anyway. The Bengals running game is surely hurting the team at this point.

Tough slogging today. He got stuffed several times at the goal line.
looked banged up at the end of the game…heavy workload
Corum time soon?
Kyren didn't look like himself yesterday, yet Corum got 1 carry and played only 1 snap on offense. That was a surprise to me in a tight game. Maybe Corum got dinged? What I saw was hard to reconcile based on what I've seen the last few weeks with him.

Wishful fantasy thinking?
Until it happens of course.
Wishing for injuries so your guy gets in there is all part of fantasy and does happen, but usually a losing proposition. I would say good luck, but I won't. I don't like talking about injuries like that. It's bad karma.

Read the prior posts.

I never said I was wishing an injury. A poster said he observed Kyren taking a heavy workload and was banged up.

I said Corum time? Which implies he could get more playing time.

I apologize if I'm wrong, but it had an aura of I have Corum and I hope he gets more play.

No problem here. You are correct. I do have Corum and hope he gets more play but I'm not wishing an injury upon Kyren.

as a Kyren owner, it’s def concerning that he’s clearly starting to wear down. I feel bad that the kid has no chance of getting a solid second contract.

Currently trying to acquire Kyren for Chubba and JSN.

Already own Corum so if he breaks down, so be it.

That said, has he even been on the injury report this year? Not sure he's been even remotely dinged. Did Corum get one carry last week??

OK I know I am a bad man. I own Corum and clicked on this thread to see if there was news about Kyren missing some time. I wish ill of no man but I AM all about me in fantasy football. Would wishing a hangnail on Kyren allowing Corum to start in some critical weeks be bad?

Nah. It’s all execution and line play. He had several chunk run plays to start the 2nd half. Looked time picking up 8-9 yards on several runs. Penalties, turnovers (one his) and bad line play was the culprit. Plus negative game script. Plus never got inside the 5. Nobody says a word if Stafford hits him on the wide open pass at the end. Corum does look capable IF anything does happen to KW

Are we at a point where we need a TD to have a good day from KW? Something is off for sure.
like I’ve been saying, he’s really wearing down and they don’t seem to care
What gives you the idea that he's "wearing down"? Seems to be doing fine to me. The only change recently is that he scored 10 TD's in the first 8 games, and 0 in the last 2 games. That's random luck, not wearing down.

I was watching that game last night and was thinking both RB's looked a little worn down. Massive workloads, early bye, not the biggest RB's.

I can't prove it, don't have GPS data so if you say you don't agree that's all good. Just looked like to me.

That's informative, I haven't seen much him. I was just basing my opinion on stats, and was half-assuming anyone saying he's wearing down was only disappointed in 10-12 points the last two games.
