Olawale has been getting the carries recently, not Reece. Carr has actually had more rushing attempts recently than all the backups

This makes it look like the illegal man downfield penalty was accepted, when the ref clearly stated both were declined. From NFL.com box score:

The NFL box score is saying a penalty was accepted which ended the half. That wasnt the case. The referee said both were declined which would allow the outcome of the play to stand.

Not sure how it can't. It was a play, reception, and no penalty since it was declined to end the half.

So any reason as to why the hell they took away that reception at the end of the first half?
Only speculation I've heard is the coaches actually accepted the penalty, although it was announced by the referee as declined. Story makes sense, but that is speculative.
No clue if we will see a correction; my guess is we will not

Or maybe when the clock hits zero and there is an offensive penalty during the play, it is the end of the half whether they accept it or not

As a dyno owner since his rookie year, I've been disappointed like a lot of GMs. However, he is still a rare breed in that not only is he an exceptional athlete, but he's also a bell cow. I hope the problem just comes down to touches. He should be getting 20-25 a game between rushing/receiving.
He is still in firm RB2 territory in my PPR league, so this comes down to me having higher expectations. I envisioned Gurley and Murray being my stable as Forte rode off into the sunset. That may still happen, but it didn't in '15.

Luckily it happened on a Thursday instead of a monday. Dust has settled, so no big deal really. I mostly find it odd that the penalty was clearly declined, so much so that the play by play on ESPN.com says even today...
I just find it odd at this point that an official explanation hasn't been released. Maybe they have, but if they havent it just seems weird. There have to be thousands of people scratching their heads asking where did my points go???
What are people feeling about Murray these days? Word has been quiet out of Oakland. Usually that's a good thing but only for the short term I think. There are some prime targets at RB next year and unless Murray or Washington breaks out, I can see them making the move in the draft. I've never been impressed with Murray outside of his big game in 2014 against KC. He only finished as an rb1 this last year because the position suffered so many injuries while he played the whole year. I personally see him being average but maintaining his job this year due to excellent O-line play. Washington will get work but I can't see him winning the job without Murray blowing it.

I don't play dynasty but I am pretty optimistic about him this season. The Raiders are building a mostly young and deep offensive line and Murray is definitely going to get the first crack at producing behind them. He's big, he can catch, he seems to have some quicks and straight line speed. I think he could do great things this year and I think the cost of acquiring him in dynasty will reflect that possibility. That means if he fails this year you are going to lose even more.
If I had him I would hold him. If I thought for a second that I could get him for cheap I would be all over that. But if I had to pay a premium based solely on limited info and potential then I would probably pass.

He'll see less carries than last year, might be an improvement. Coaching staff doesn't seem very high on him. Would not feel comfortable owning him without also owning DeAndre Washington who looks like MJD reincarnated.
