Miles Sanders (hamstring) is active for Week 2 against the Rams.
Sanders got in a full week of practice and is ready to go as a high-end RB2. Jalen Hurts, meanwhile, will serve as the Eagles' No. 2 quarterback. Inactive for the Eagles are QB Nate Sudfeld, WR Alshon Jeffery, RB Alshon Huntley, DE Genard Avery, OG Jamon Brown and OG Sua Opeta.

Miles Sanders rushed 20 times for 95 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' Week 2 loss to the Rams, adding three receptions for 36 additional yards.
Sanders, who was a fumbler in college but coughed it up only twice as a rookie, committed a soft giveaway on the Eagles' opening drive, but rebounded for a strong overall day behind an offensive line missing both of its starting guards, not to mention its left tackle. Sanders was essentially untouched on his five-yard score late in the first half. Boston Scott still mixed in to make a few nice plays on seven touches, but Sanders was the Eagles' offensive focal point after missing Week 1 with a hamstring injury. It is extremely encouraging that there appeared to be no residual effects this afternoon. Sanders will be an RB1 for Week 3's appetizing matchup with the Bengals.

Miles Sanders rushed 18 times for 95 yards in the Eagles' Week 3 tie to the Bengals, adding four catches for 12 yards.
Boston Scott only saw three carries and no running back outside of Sanders was targeted versus the Bengals. Sanders was targeted eight times including twice downfield. Carson Wentz was not able to connect with Sanders on either of his deep looks. Sanders missed Week 1 with a hamstring injury but has 38 carries and 15 targets through two games. His role in the passing game is going to be crucial going forward as the Eagles look to be a team that may be losing often this year. They face a 49ers defense that has yet to allow a 100-yard rusher this year. He's a low-end RB1 in the difficult matchup.

I didn’t get to watch the game, but he had 8 passes thrown to him for 4 catches for 7 yards. Something doesn’t seem to be working there. It seems like they don't have a toss or sweep in their playbook. Get this guy outside!
He was covered pretty tight on all his routes.I didn’t get to watch the game, but he had 8 passes thrown to him for 4 catches for 7 yards. Something doesn’t seem to be working there.
2.10, I love what I’m getting from him every week.man philly stinks. the next 3 weeks they likely get smoked too. luckily he's getting fed the ball so the floor should be 10pts or so which is nice, but you were hoping for more of last week's production when you drafted him early.
Agreed. The thing that may hurt is the overall struggling Philly offense - shorter drives/fewer plays means fewer touches. Hopefully things can improve there. 22 touches is obviously good, but not so much in a full 5 quarters.2.10, I love what I’m getting from him every week.
His ADP a month before that was 1.10-2.04, so anyone who got him past 2.08 has to be loving their RB2. Especially compared to other players at that ADP like Golladay, Evans, or even earlier like Godwin. Or still earlier like Barkley/CMC.
I guess I’m not understanding the criticism of a dude who missed just 1 week and is providing RB1 numbers with 100+ YFS both games & a hearty target share in the receiving game. He’s also clearly game-script independent as he doesn’t come off the field regardless of score.
even if I drafted him at his original ADP of 1.10-2.04 I’d be thrilled. He’s a RB1.
I’d say he’s been a bargain so far.
Yeah, I figure the Eagles will find ways to improve. Getting back some healthy receivers will be a big part of that.Agreed. I know they had a bunch of O line injuries at the beginning of the season as well. I am not sure if the injured lineman are back but obviously there return should improve the offense and it might take a few games before they start to gel.Yeah, I figure the Eagles will find ways to improve. Lane Johnson came back week 2 I believe. Not sure beyond that but I have to believe thats having a negative effect on the offense as a whole, I agree.I know they had a bunch of O line injuries at the beginning of the season as well. Philly's preseason starting LT, LG, RG are all out for the entire season.I am not sure if the injured lineman are back but obviously there return should improve the offense and it might take a few games before they start to gel.
Eagle running backs coach Duce Staley said RB Miles Sanders' large workload is sustainable.
Sanders has gotten 45 touches in the two games since he returned from a hamstring injury. Boston Scott spelled Sanders at times during last week's tie against the Bengals. getting three rushes and a target. Sanders' workload should offset even bad matchups, like this week's game against a tough 49ers defense. Scott remains a worthy bench stash in 12 and 14-team leagues.

Miles Sanders rushed 13 times for 46 yards in the Eagles' Week 4 win over the 49ers.
Sanders only managed to bring down two of his four targets but did add 30 yards through the air. Wentz missed an open Sanders on both of the incomplete passes thrown Sanders' way. The good news is that no other Philly back logged more than two touches. Sanders is still the lead-back by a wide margin for the Eagles but the production has been lagging. He has one score on 70 opportunities (carries plus targets) since returning in Week 2. The Eagles' schedule only gets tougher the next two weeks with Pittsburgh and Baltimore on the docket. Sanders is a low-end RB1 based on his immense volume going forward.

O Line is decimated. No WR's to expand the field. I think, all things considered, he's doing well.I’m unsure what I thought I was getting when I drafted him, but it wasn’t this.
They don't trust Sanders not to fumble. Why was Clement in so much at the end, was Sanders hurt?
Miles Sanders rushed 11 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles' Week 5 loss to the Steelers.
Sanders' final stat line looks impressive but nearly all of his yards came on a 74-yard touchdown run. He averaged .6 yards per carry on all other runs versus the Steelers. He also saw four targets but only managed to bring down two of them for 19 yards. Sanders got one chance to show off his game-breaking speed and made the most of it but the rest of the day was quiet for him. Because of Philly has been playing from behind consistently this year, Sanders should be expected to get scripted out of games where he doesn't break a long run. He's a highly volatile RB1 moving forward.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (knee) is questionable to return against the Ravens.
Sanders was hurt during a 74-yard run that ended with a fumble into the endzone, recovered by J.J. Arcega-Whiteside. Sanders entered the team's blue medical tent, then received treatment on the knee after leaving the tent. Boston Scott becomes the Eagles' primary back with Sanders out.

Miles Sanders rushed nine times for 118 yards in the Eagles' Week 6 loss to the Ravens, adding one reception for -6 yards.
For the second straight week, Sanders got most of his rushing yardage on a single carry, busting off a 74-yard run that ended with a fumble into the end zone; J.J. Acega-Whiteside recovered the ball for a touchdown. Sanders had an ugly touchdown drop just before his big run -- he was unable to adjust his body after turning the wrong way in pursuit of the ball. Sanders would be a low-end RB1 next week against the Giants if he gets the green light to play through the knee injury.

I'm not sure I would call it ugly. I mean, he should have caught it, but he turned late and was looking directly into the sun. Not sure if he should have turned to his left in the first place or not, not sure how they practice that play and the ball placement.Sanders had an ugly touchdown drop just before his big run
Week 1 with Boston Scott was not fun. This team is dysfunctional. Really Sanders last 2 weeks have been saved by two really nice runs. I’m not the type of guy to take those away when talking about people, just not sure Scott can fill that void.Welp I guess I'll put a huge chunk of my remaining money on Boston friggin Scott.
I see a Scott/Clement committee if Sanders misses time. And probably an ineffective committee at that.Week 1 with Boston Scott was not fun. This team is dysfunctional. 4/5 of the Eagles' O-line is hurt. I'm not sure anyone other than Sanders in that backfield is worth owning.Welp I guess I'll put a huge chunk of my remaining money on Boston friggin Scott.
Actually good news. Means likely just a mild knee sprain and not a torn meniscus.Schefter is saying out 1-2 weeks. Which likely means back after the week 9 bye.
If true, could have been worse.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Miles Sanders (knee) is not expected to play in Week 7 against the Giants.
Sanders is only expected to miss "1-2 weeks," making him questionable for the team's Week 8 game against the Cowboys. Boston Scott out-snapped (38 to 25) and out-touched (11 to 8 ) Corey Clement minus Sanders in Week 1 but neither offered much in terms of production. Scott is a viable filler for those struggling to fill spots over the bye weeks even if he is projected to split touches with Clement (and perhaps Jason Huntley, too). Both will be mentioned in John Daigle's Waiver Wire column on Tuesday.
BET Slant:
According to PointsBet Sportsbook, in the Thursday night matchup between the Eagles and Giants, the line was Philly -6 and has moved to -3.5.

3. Miles Sanders' value
Somewhat surprisingly, the advanced numbers haven’t always been kind to Miles Sanders. He had a 62.3 grade from PFF as a rookie and wasn’t leading any notable advanced stats. This season, that has changed. He’s sixth in the league in rush yards over expectation, measured by NGS, and he leads all running backs in yards per carry.
Also noteworthy, Sanders is considered the most north/south runner in the league, according to NGS’s “efficiency” stat. Sanders is at the bottom of the list in lateral movement while working upfield, according to the metric. The Eagles haven’t really given the crop of running backs expected to replace Sanders this Thursday much of an opportunity for a good enough sample size to look at — Boston Scott is averaging just 3.5 attempts per game. We’ll have more on them next week.
Miles Sanders (knee) remained sidelined at Tuesday's practice.
Sanders is fully expected to sit when the Eagles host the Giants on Thursday evening, giving way to a Boston Scott-led committee, with Corey Clement operating as the No. 2 back. The fact that Sanders has yet to be formally ruled out bodes well for his Week 8 status.

Come on, Rotoworld. We all know it's because Pederson doesn't want to rule Sanders out yet so the Giants continue to game plan for him. Highly doubt we see Sanders until after the bye.Miles Sanders (knee) remained sidelined at Tuesday's practice.

Miles Sanders (knee) has been ruled out for Week 7 against the Giants.
Sanders was never expected to play. He's facing a 1-2 week timetable to return from his knee injury. Boston Scott will start, with Corey Clement mixing in as the No. 2 back. With the Eagles playing on Thursday night, Sanders has a few extra days to get ready for Week 8. It's possible Philly holds out Sanders through their Week 9 bye.
