Probably not. Haven't heard anything local about him coming back yet. It was billed as a 1-2 week injury. Most likely playing it safeAny update as to whether Sanders will play this week before the bye?

Assume they'll play it safe (keep him out this week) as they need to prepare for the long-term. I mean after all, the Eagles ARE leading the division and they ARE playing a lousy 2-5 team!Any update as to whether Sanders will play this week before the bye?
i'm actually thinking they play him. he may only get 70% of reps, but considering the following week is a bye he has 2 weeks to rest it then too. they need this win bad considering that loss to the Redskins, and it isn't like they blew by the Giants with them being down 21-10 in mid 4th QProbably not. On the flip side, Dallas is likely much worse than New York is. Especially with a rookie 3rd string QB, and 3rd string OL blocking Graham and Cox.i'm actually thinking they play him. he may only get 70% of reps, but considering the following week is a bye he has 2 weeks to rest it then too. they need this win bad considering that loss to the Redskins, and it isn't like they blew by the Giants with them being down 21-10 in mid 4th Q
Miles Sanders (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Sanders missed Week 7's game last Thursday with the injury, and early reports suggested a 1-2 week timeline for the running back's return. More information will arrive in Thursday and Friday's injury reports. Boston Scott handled 15 touches in Sanders' absence last week, totaling 92 yards. Sunday night's matchup against the Cowboys is an exciting one for whichever lead back gets the call.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (knee) did not practice Thursday.
Sanders was expected to miss a week or two with the knee ailment; this week would mark his second missed game since suffering the injury against Baltimore in Week 6. Boston Scott handled 15 touches last week in Sanders' absence, playing 69 percent of the team's offensive snaps. Scott would be a must-play in 12-team leagues this week against a nonexistent Dallas run defenses if Sanders is inactive.

Miles Sanders (knee) won't play in Week 8 against the Cowboys.
Fantasy players can lean on Boston Scott for one more start after he handled 12-of-16 carries and 5-of-7 targets in Philadelphia's backfield during Week 7. He's a legitimate RB1 option against Dallas' matador front-seven that's permitted the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Eagles RB Miles Sanders (knee) is expected to return to practice next week ahead of the Eagles' Week 10 game against the Giants.
After returning to practice, it will be safe to assume that Sanders will play in Week 10. Sanders has topped 100 yards from scrimmage in three of five games this year and had another outing with 99 total yards. The Eagles offense is getting healthy and looking better than they did early in the season. That should further improve the touchdown outlook for Sanders, who has only scored in two games this year. He will return to a three-down role in Week 10 and projects as an RB1 once healthy.

Miles Sanders (knee) is practicing Wednesday.
This was expected with the Eagles coming off their bye. Sanders missed Weeks 7-8 but is on track to return Sunday. Even with Sanders looking healthy, Boston Scott still figures to be involved as a change of pace.

Miles Sanders (knee) said he's "100 percent" and ready to play Week 10 against the Giants.
"I feel good," Sanders said. "I feel normal. I'm ready to get back and stack these wins up." Coach Doug Pederson has remained noncommittal on Sanders for Week 10, but it sounds like Sanders is ready to resume his normal workload as an 85% playing time back who handles 20-plus weekly touches. He's an RB1 every week he steps on the field.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (knee) practiced fully Friday.
Sander should be in fantasy lineups this week against the Giants. From Week 2-5 -- Sanders' only healthy stretch of the season -- he played 79 percent of the team's offensive snaps and 58 percent of the Eagles' rushing attempts. He'll once again be the team's primary back in Week 10 against the Giants. Boston Scott goes back to bench stash status.

Miles Sanders rushed 15 times for 85 yards in the Eagles' Week 10 loss to the Giants.
Sanders looked awesome. He constantly beat defenders to the edge and broke tackles inside. Sanders ended up handling 15-of-19 running back carries, but two of those four backup runs went for touchdowns. The vultured touchdowns weren't by design either. It was just tough touchdown luck for Sanders, who otherwise had a decent fantasy day. Sanders should rebound as an RB1 against the Browns in Week 11.

RISER: RB MILES SANDERS, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Sanders left in Week 6 with a knee sprain and didn’t return until Week 10. In his two games since retaking the field, he is averaging 15.5 carries and five targets. He has seen 77.5% of the running back carries and 71.4% of the running back targets. And on the season, Sanders has a 14% target share. That mark is good for top-10 among running backs, as is his 2.2-yard average depth of target.
As far as running backs go, Sanders is one of the most used receivers in terms of targets and potential yards. He has only one top-10 fantasy week among running backs this year, but his volume is supreme when healthy. Sanders is only 23 years old and is already a three-down back. He remains a buy even as his perceived value climbs.
Miles Sanders rushed six times for 15 yards in the Eagles' Week 12 loss to the Seahawks.
He "added" two catches for seven yards on three targets in the passing game, dropping his one missed connection. Sanders hasn't scored since Week 5 and is being hurt by the total ineffectiveness of the entire offense. No aspect of this unit is playing well right now. We shouldn't expect much to change next week at Green Bay where Sanders could again fall victim to game script where the Eagles will be heavy road underdogs.

Miles Sanders’ weekly share of backfield touches since returning from injury: 77.2%, 70.3%, 50%.
Boston Scott’s in that time: 18.1%, 29.6%, 43.7%.
I don't think Sanders is 100%, but PHI fell behind and they used Boston Scott in the hurry-up offense. Sanders is a victim of the game scripts.Didn't see the game last night...he has to be playing injured. Right?
Miles Sanders' share of the Eagles' rushing attempts has dropped over the past three weeks.
He bottomed out on Monday night against Seattle with 50 percent of the team's rushes, gaining 15 yards on six carries. Coming back from injury three weeks ago, Sanders looked to have the backfield on lock down, getting 77 percent of the team's rushing attempts, then 70 percent the following weeks. Meanwhile, Boston Scott's rushing share has ticked up. He saw 43.7 percent of the team's carries against the Seahawks. Sanders, who hasn't scored a touchdown since mid-October, has a frightening fantasy floor as the lead back in an abysmal Philadelphia offense. Maybe a date with a porous Packers run defense will offer some sort of bump for Sanders in Week 13.

Little misleading since Wentz had 5 of 14 rushing attempts. Of the running back rushing attempts, Sanders had 6/9.Rotoworld:

Not like Sanders can't catch the ball![]()
Feel bad for him, what a waste of talent. PHI doesn't know how to use him.
And I may be pining him for the likes of Devonte Booker. This is the week Sanders breaks out and pays owners for their patience![]()
I am glad there is at least one other considering the same madness as I. Just seems like they are so misusing SandersAnd I may be pining him for the likes of Devonte Booker.![]()
I pulled the trigger on this (but in a league with the bye locked up already so didn’t agonize over it for too long)I am glad there is at least one other considering the same madness as I. Just seems like they are so misusing Sanders
Eagles RB Miles Sanders vs Saints (-7)
Total: o/u 44 | 88% Started
The Running Back position is an absolute nightmare entering the fantasy playoffs. I started 8-0 in a league full of great players with Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Miles Sanders consistently occupying two RB spots. Since? A 5-game losing streak and zero trust in that position. It is one of the most abrupt cliffs I have encountered while playing fantasy football, and if you have dependable options at the position entering weeks 14-17, you have an instant advantage.
The trajectory of Sanders’ season is on a steep decline from a usage and opportunity standpoint. In weeks 10-12, Sanders was on the field for 64% of the team’s offensive snaps and handled nearly 17 opportunities (carries + targets) in that three game stretch. In Week 13? 10 carries and one target for a measly 31 total yards. We know the Eagles Offense is broken and the offensive line is beyond fixing, but a wealth of drops has likely contributed to Boston Scotteating into Sanders’ passing down work. Most of all, Sanders is not seeing high value touches. We love carries and targets inside the 20-yard line. We love them even more inside the 10. On the season (!) Sanders has eight carries inside the 10-yard line and just one over his last four games.
Perhaps Jalen Hurts’ introduction as the starter creates more opportunities in the running game for Sanders, similar to Kyler Murray and Kenyan Drake with defenses forcing the QB to hand the ball off in “read” situations. But even volume likely won’t be enough to create a stable floor against the Saints’ No. 2 ranked rush defense according to DVOA.
Prediction: 13 carries for 44 yards, 2 catches for 11 yards
Miles Sanders said he's excited to run read-option plays in Week 14 with Jalen Hurts at quarterback.
It can't get much worse for Sanders, so perhaps the rookie QB's running ability -- and the threat that poses to a defense -- could spring Sanders out of his funk. Sanders played a season low number of snaps in Week 13 against Green Bay, seeing just ten touches for 31 yards. Banking on Hurts unlocking Sanders in Week 14 against a tough New Orleans defense is a gamble many fantasy managers are going to have to take.

Miles Sanders rushed 17 times for 64 yards, adding a 26-yard catch in Philadelphia's Week 15 loss to Arizona.
Outside of his lone 26-yard catch in the first half, Sanders was met up the middle by Arizona's front-seven on nearly every carry and was merely handed five touches across the final two quarters. That shouldn't overshadow the fact that he handled every single backfield carry for the first time all year, out-touching Boston Scott 18-1 on Sunday and 36-5 in Philadelphia's last two games with Jalen Hurts under center. Fantasy players should look beyond the results in this one and fire Sanders up as a low-end RB1 destined to help take home Championships in a smash spot against Dallas in Week 16.

This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, but it’s a lot easier for a running back to score fantasy points when they play on an offense that can move the ball at will. A running back has the potential to contribute to their offense’s capabilities, but much of what they do is predetermined by the situation they are placed in.
As bad as we think Ezekiel Elliott has been this year, he’s having a career-low season by every measure in the same year that Dak Prescott went down with 11 weeks left on the schedule. Removing the first five games, this is the worst year for the Cowboys by yards per play since they drafted Elliott. Three of the top four fantasy backs are split between the four best offenses in the league.
Player Fantasy Rank Team Yards per Play Yards per Play Rank
Alvin Kamara RB1 5.6 17
Dalvin Cook RB2 6.1 4
Derrick Henry RB3 6.2 3
Aaron Jones RB4 6.2 2
A back’s offense shouldn’t be used as a tiebreaker for making dynasty decisions. It should be one of the primary inputs. We’re working with small samples here, but the turnaround from Carson Wentz to Jalen Hurts appears to be drastic. Two of the Eagles’ five highest scores as a team have come in the previous two weeks. Their best and third-best week by yardage total have come in Hurts’ two starts. And Sanders has 36 touches in the past two weeks.
Was my first thought too. Any coach has to run more than doug did.Have to see who the new coach is, but initial thoughts are that it's probably going to be a positive for Sanders with Pederson gone.
Plus, getting back Dillard and Brooks sets him up to exceed 2021 expectations. I so regret engaging in wishful thinking in the preseason, convincing myself that their loss wouldn't be as disastrous as it turned out to be.Was my first thought too. Any coach has to run more than doug did.
And use him more as a receiver out of the backfield, which Pederson seemed to forget to do.Was my first thought too. Any coach has to run more than doug did.
