RB Miles Sanders, DAL (1 Viewer)

Point out an example?

And me telling folks what they don't want to hear isn't an example.
I have no dog in the fight so you're not telling me anything - and I pointed out something to you (that is factual) and you called me "obtuse" while you seem to be missing @menobrown's point the whole time. So I'll stop engaging with you. Thanks.

Coach is saying the right things but Sanders will have to produce when he gets the ball in his hands.  Producing wasn't Sanders issue, getting the ball was so if the coach is truly committed to that I think that the cream will rise to the top.  Sanders may not get the every down pounding but he doesn't need that role...he has home run ability so if he shares somewhat with Howard it wouldn't be the worst thing.  As long as Sanders gets the ball he'll be fine...certainly can't be worse than the beginning of the year.

Will he be at least active this weekend?  Thinking of trying to trade for him but don't want a blank.
I'm in at the price of Tee Higgins and Odell.  I was long WR and RBs are gold.  Leggoooo.

Week 11 fantasy stats: Behold the amount of ways Cowboys can crush you

Excerpt:

Eagles rank 32nd in neutral pass rate since Week 7

It’s interesting that this rebirth of the Eagles’ running game has come right after Miles Sanders was placed on IR. In fairness, they tried to get him going in his last game before the injury but it’s still an odd coincidence.

I’m not sure exactly how good of a starting-level back Sanders is but I’m pretty bullish on trading for him right now. If he takes over as the clear RB1 of a team ... there’s a lot of juice to squeeze out of a running game that’s been this robust since he left the lineup.

The Eagles get the aforementioned Jets in Week 13 and Washington twice to end the season. He could be a mildly boring league-winner if the Eagles keep running the ball like this and he’s healthy enough to be the lead guy.

Speaking Friday, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said he remained uncertain if Miles Sanders (ankle, injured reserve) would return for Sunday's game against the Saints.

It is frustrating for fantasy managers, though we should know Sanders' status by Saturday afternoon. That is when the Eagles must decide if they are activating Sanders from injured reserve. It stands to reason that he would not be activated only to be a game-time decision for Sunday's game. Even were that to be the case, inactives will be announced at 11:30 AM ET Sunday. We are going to know Sanders' status by the time lineups must be set. We do not have a good lean on the situation. Sirianni has said Sanders will remain the starter of Philly's newly run-heavy offense once healthy, though Jordan Howard and perhaps even Boston Scott would remain involved on early downs.

Just like David Montgomery returning and everyone all wigged out that Khalil Herbert would see significant time cuz he earned it. Sanders is clear cut RB1 on the Eagles. His coach even said so.

The difference is Monty came back to the same kind of run game plan and Sanders only tasted the new program in PHI.

Edit: PHI took a lil bit of time trying to figure out what they actually are. Hurts coming along too.

Sirianni said he’d be the starter, which means he’ll be in on the first offensive play, but what happens after that is anyone’s guess.

Rolled with Stevenson Collins and Ingram over him. Matchup isn’t good, but will roll him out in future if he gets good volume this game.

I don't see how anyone can feel confident in starting him this first week back. Coaching staff has never given us a reason to trust he'll get the touches needed to warrant being in our lineups. I'm likely starting Hines over him in a PPR league.

Oof

Can you tell me if the coaches have said Sanders will get starter touches?
All I know is that Siriani said on Wed "when Miles is back, he's our starter." Not saying that means 20 carries are coming his way but I think he'll get a decent amount.

Do any of the Eagles running backs seem likely to do much with their carries against the Saints front?  The RB getting the targets is the one to start today.

It's a legitimate concern but they did just go into Mile High and put up 200 yds on their #6 rush defense. That was also with Howard and Scott.

Miles Sanders (ankle) will play against the Saints in Week 11.

There was some question from Nick Sirianni on Friday if Sanders would be far enough along to be active, but Sanders will be at the head of the Eagles backfield committee on Sunday as they take on the Saints. He'll be hard to trust coming off the injury and against a tough Saints run defense, but should be viewed as a boom-bust RB3/FLEX pick.

Starting him. Feel like it's boom or bust today. He'll get next to nothing, or he'll get the majority.
I think it will be somewhere in between, but probably underwhelming. I’m playing it safe and sitting him but hope I’m wrong and he gets the majority - that way I can play him going forward.

Fourth head in the RBBC is Hurts. Glad Sanders is back on the field but it's going to be hard to rely on production from anyone in that backfield.

16 carries for 94 yards.

The fumble hurt because I think Howard was going to get the bulk due to that. Howard getting hurt was fortunate. Hurts with 3 rushing Tds though.

Not a bad first game back. Sets up nicely Ros especially if Howard is out long term

Really don't think could have asked for more in first game back.

Thought it could be 4way committee with Hurts. Wound up being 3 way. Scott/Howard avoided Hurts' rush TDs while Miles was out. (Jalen has 8 rush TD in the games Miles has played. Zero in the 3 games he missed)

There was also a second fumble where they said they blew the play dead. So he really needs to clean that up.

Howard's injury is something with the knee. No word on how severe yet.

Howard out for week 12.

Eagles had 32 carries for 173 yards to RBs in week 11 against the #1 Saints run defense.

Sanders has a chance to get a solid amount of work but he absolutely cannot fumble again. I see this week going something like:

Sanders 18 carries

Scott 10 carries

Gainwell 4 carries

Can’t emphasize/bold that enough. Would also be nice to get a few receptions along the way and *finally* a TD.
