Best ball, draft n' go roster filler. Cheap insurance to avoid eating donuts. In standard leagues without super deep rosters, I think you'll be able to find something similar on the wire. The most watched sporting event in the world.

Panthers head coach Frank Reich said Miles Sanders (groin) is “getting close” to a return to practice.
Reich said the team’s presumed lead back likely won’t play at all in the preseason. Sanders has missed a chunk of practice with the groin issue, catapulting Chuba Hubbard and Raheem Blacksheer into more prominent roles in the Panthers offense. Hubbard is a sensible late-round pick in 12-team fantasy drafts in case Sanders’ groin injury lingers into the regular season.
Miles Sanders (groin) returned to practice Monday.
Sanders has missed the bulk of training camp and both of Carolina’s preseason outings while dealing with a groin injury. He will likely be ramped up slowly and isn’t expected to play in the team’s final preseason game, but this remains a good sign for a back in need of at least a few reps with his new team. Sanders projects for a strong role in the offense once healthy. Volume alone should propel him to RB2 numbers as long as he is ready to go for Week 1.
I feel like the Panthers offense is going to stink, and that’s going to hinder Sanders opportunities.
The massive workload everyone is projecting for him requires the offense to be on the field, and Young may or may not be able to sustain that.
The receptions will likely be there, but does anyone realistically expect good touchdown production?
I have him on one team and I’m not thrilled about it.
Yep. That schedule is wonderful for fantasy rbs. Even better those final weeks for the fantasy playoffsI feel like the Panthers offense is going to stink, and that’s going to hinder Sanders opportunities.

The benefit he has is they play the NFC south and none of the other teams are any good. This guarantees at least 6 neutral game scripts where they can run the ball and have an equal time of possession.
I only have him on a single dynasty roster. I like Miles Sanders, but not so much that I draft him at his ADP.
Exactly my approach. I needed a RB, and he fell past his ADP. My team felt strong enough to take a flier. IIRC that was not long after the injury, so people probably got spooked.I like Miles Sanders, but not so much that I draft him at his ADP.
Miles Sanders (groin) said he’ll “absolutely” be ready for Week 1 against the Falcons.
Sanders has been eased back into Panthers practices this week after missing time with a groin injury. Head coach Frank Reich said he’s not sure if Sanders will suit up for the Panthers’ final preseason game. Barring some kind of setback, it appears Sanders will serve as Carolina’s nominal RB1 for the season opener. Fantasy managers should consider drafting Chuba Hubbard or Raheem Blackshear in case Sanders misses time in 2023.
Panthers HC Frank Reich said the team hopes to “mix it up” when it comes to distributing running back touches.
Reich also noted that Miles Sanders is expected to “be the main guy,” but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Chuba Hubbard or Raheem Blackshear mix in occasional touches. Blackshear mentioned as a potential third-down option by The Athletic’s Joseph Person earlier this summer, but little has been revealed by the team on how touches could be distributed. While Sanders is the back to roster right now, either Hubbard or Blackshear could turn into deep stashes once we get a sense of how the team is prioritizing them in the rotation.
um, him.should I start him or Brian Robinson or Raheem Mostert? Decisions, decisions, decisions....
Yeah, that would be Miles Sanders.um, him.should I start him or Brian Robinson or Raheem Mostert? Decisions, decisions, decisions....
The dreaded mix it up nugget. I invested in Sanders at his RB20 ADP. I still feel like he outperforms it. I see 250 carries and 40 receptions as his floor. Screw mix it up nuggets.
Your prolly right. I ain't budging though. I believe miles. I believe. The dreaded mix it up nugget. I invested in Sanders at his RB20 ADP. I still feel like he outperforms it. I see 250 carries and 40 receptions as his floor. Screw mix it up nuggets.
That's a pretty high floor for a guy who has problems staying healthy.
He had 250 carries last year, and caught 20 with a running QB, so I would change the receptions to maybe 30, but it's close. The dreaded mix it up nugget. I invested in Sanders at his RB20 ADP. I can't wait to see his receptions today. I waited on RB's and still got him as my RB2 in one of my best ball leagues and he's a decent DFS play today if he can catch a few.He had 250 carries last year, and caught 20 with a running QB, so I would change the receptions to maybe 30, but it's close. The dreaded mix it up nugget. Yeah, he stayed healthy all season for the first time in his career. 250 and 40 is his ceiling, not his floor.
6 targets, 18 carries. Looks like you might have his floor unless today was an outlier for whatever reason? Can't be mad. 18 carries for 72 yards. 4 catches for 27 yards.
Miles Sanders rushed 18 times for 72 yards in Week 1 vs Atlanta, adding 26 yards on four catches.
[He] was the Panthers’ second leading receiver. With DJ Chark out, Sanders had a larger role in the pass game but ceded 11 touches to Chuba Hubbard. Sanders fumbled in the second half but it didn’t cost him any snaps. Sanders looked fully healthy after missing time with a core injury this preseason. He’ll remain an RB2 for matchup with the Saints in Week 2.

This sure as **** isn't his floor but the usage and efficiency is
His original floor predictions based off today look pretty decent. He originally said 250 carries / 17 = 14.7 per game. 40 catches / 17 = 2.4 catches per game. I figured 30 catches were more realistic as a floor, so that would be 30 / 17 = 1.8 receptions per game. Those floor numbers look pretty decent unless yesterday was an outlier for whatever reason. Chuba got some work too. This sure as **** isn't his floor but the usage and efficiency is encouraging.
Not for Miles Sanders. 17.for 39 yards is not his floor. Read the thread. BwahahahaRachaad White went 17 for 39 yards and 2 catches for 10 yards. That's what a floor game looks like. Miles Sanders floor is not any better than Rachaad Whites floor.

It seems HC Frank Reich wasn't lying, Miles Sanders' volume in Week 1 was the 4th-best of his career
18 carries, 72 yards rushing
6 targets, 4 catches, 26 yards receiving
Finished behind only Austin Ekeler and Christian McCaffrey in weighted opportunity (19.4)
Miles Sanders (pec) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
A limited session to start the week for a veteran running back is likely nothing to worry about, but we’ll keep an eye on this situation for now. Sanders has been loaded up with touches in his first two games as a Panther. He has 32 carries and seven catches to his name so far. As long as he gets a full session in by Friday, he should be good to go. The bigger issue for his fantasy outlook could be the absence of Bryce Young, who missed Wednesday’s practice with an ankle injury. Playing a road game on a short week with a backup quarterback would undoubtedly result in disaster for Carolina’s offense.
They will probably play better with their backup….LOLMiles Sanders (pec) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.A limited session to start the week for a veteran running back is likely nothing to worry about, but we’ll keep an eye on this situation for now. Miles Sanders (groin) is questionable for Week 4 against the Vikings.
Sanders was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday because of a groin issue. He previously dealt with a groin injury in the preseason. It’s possible that the injury resurfaced and is now causing him issues. If he can’t go, Chuba Hubbard would likely see the bulk of Carolina’s touches at running back. He would rank as an RB2 versus the Vikings.
Miles Sanders (groin) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
Sanders has been a limited participant in both practices to start the week, but played through this same injury in Week 4’s loss to the Vikings. At this point, it’s more likely Chuba Hubbard sidelines Sanders than his groin, as Hubbard out-snapped Sanders last week and was the more efficient back with his opportunities. Sanders isn’t a legitimate risk of missing Week 5’s game against the Lions, but he’ll be hard to trust as anything more than an RB3/flex play.
I've actually started him in my flex all 5 weeks. This makes it easier for me to admit defeat. Been a horribly disappointing ride. Now a shoulder injury. DNP and Reich gave an odd comment of "he may be back, he may not be".
Wish someone had asked him a follow up question on what time frame was he talking about when he said that.
I got him on a few teams and he was in all lineups the first 3 weeks. Started process of benching in some leagues heading into week 4. I even sat him last week for Zach Ertz in a TE premium league which I sure never though I'd be doing when the season started.I've actually started him in my flex all 5 weeks. Which is the worst kind. The guy who is not good enough to start and not bad enough to drop. A roster clogger that serves no purpose. SmhIt'll be a miracle to even want to start Sanders ROS- feels like a Najee type of hold / drop candidate. Panthers running game seems so bad.

Panthers declared Miles Sanders (shoulder) out for Week 6 against the Dolphins.
Sanders did not practice this week and will cede the team’s lead back role to Chuba Hubbard against Miami. Hubbard had eaten into Sanders’ workload in recent weeks and profiles as a usable PPR option assuming he’ll operate as the Panthers’ primary pass catching back in what could be blowout game script against the vastly superior Dolphins. Hubbard can be plugged in as a flex option. Looks for Laviska Shenault, who had five rushes in Week 5, to get some extra run with Sanders sidelined.
Panthers head coach Frank Reich said the team’s backfield will be “a little bit by committee.”
Reich, who recently gave up play calling duties, did not commit to Miles Sanders as Carolina’s lead back when he returns from a shoulder injury. In Week 6 against the Dolphins, Chuba Hubbard logged 19 rushes for 88 yards and a touchdown and caught one two-yard pass. “Chuba’s looked good,” Reich said. “Obviously, we love Miles. And Miles has continued to make good progress. We’ll continue to get into this week a little bit. It’s always going to be a little bit by committee. That’s typically our approach. So the actual mix, that could vary week to week, so we’ll see how things play out this week.” Hubbard could take over as the team’s lead back but Sanders’ eventual return means Hubbard’s opportunities will be limited in a Panthers offense that will often find itself chasing points and abandoning the run.
