I do have the 1.01 in one of my leagues and if I was offered Chubb for the 1.01 it would be an instant accept.

I have the 1.01 and Chubb. But if I didn’t have both, I would say, without question, or hesitation, or second guessing, I would trade 1.01 for Chubb in a milisecond.

In many classes i wouldn't. In this class i'd easily still take Chubb over 1.01.
When a guy like Jacobs who played sparingly in college is considered the 1.01 it's a brutal class for high end offensive talent.

Probably 3 or 4 WRs. I don't think we will know until draft destinations are revealed though.
Edit: I misread that. Yeah I'd take Chubb over 1.01 straight up, would take high draft capital, a stellar combine, and a hell of a destination for a WR in this class to jump Chubb.

Inconsequential. Chubb was never going to play 100% of the snaps, so someone will give him a breather in the first 8 games and Hunt will give him a breather in the last 8. I'll be surprised if his snap % changes when Hunt becomes eligible.

It certainly is not bad for him. The Odell trade will have a fantastic effect opening up the running game and Kitchens will exploit it.
Chubb could have a combined 1,000 yards by the time Hunt is done serving his suspension.

Yeah short of catastrophic injury, nothing is slowing down Chubb. He’s going to be awesome and maybe on his way to elite status in that offense
i couldn't agree more with this
the only way this changes is that if after 8 weeks chubb is absolutely terrible then they might make a switch but if he is running hard and running well it's barely a blip on his radar

I don’t understand this position of confidence by several posters. I love Chubb as much as anyone but Hunt also showed to be very capable, some would even say studly. Trust me, I want Chubb to be the guy but with Hunt there, I see no certainty with Chubb’s role once Hunt is activated.
Where does the confidence come from? I would love to feel good about this as a Chubb fan but I’m worried.

Confidence comes from watching Chubb. I think he’s better than Hunt who was signed on a prove it type deal. I like Hunt a lot too but short of injury this is Chubb’s team.

Could be. But it’s not like Hunt doesn’t have a massive amount of baggage. He’s in the world’s doghouse and is lucky he’s got a talent so people will give him more chances. The problem Hunt faces is that he’s not as talented as Nick Chubb.

Yes. I agree. Hunt will be a FA when the 2020 class has some good talent at rb that comes with a very cheap price tag. Also hunt will have only played half a season in rbbc after sitting out an entire seasons worth of games...
What will the market be? It's very possible also that he wants to be on a winner. Chubb is still on a rookie deal. They will be out from the hit from Hyde and can maybe even move on from Duke and be able to pay Hunt a competitive salary.

If chubb is awesome for 8 games do you really think they are going to take away half his carries to Hunt? Hunt won't even be going full bore until probably week 10
yes if chubb is stinking it up i can see hunt taking carries (how many depends on how much his stinking)
I think everyone saw a complete JAG do basically what Hunt did in Kansas City. Is he talented? Absolutely. Is he as talented as we all thought he was? Probably not.

I’m in agreement with Rythmdoctor, Jello, and Dr. Dan. Inconsequential is the wrong word, there will be consequences. More talented backup RBs tend to get more carries than less talented backup RBs. How can you be so sure this won’t develop into a Marshall Fault + Steven Jackson or Fred Taylor + MJD type backfield? And can you be sure Cleveland won’t resign Hunt to a reasonable extension if they have him in the building and like him, RBs are cheap? There is a whole range of outcomes that can happen and a quite a few of those outcomes are very bad for Chubb. If the main pro-Chubb argument is that Chubb is so special that he’ll maintain high value despite Hunt I think that’s very reasonable. But calling Hunt’s presence inconsequential is weaksauce binary type thinking, it just isn’t true

Hunt will be a RFA next year and, if he plays well after he returns likely will be with the Browns again in 2020 unless he is traded.

I have owned Chubb for 4 yrs in a devy league. I love the guy. He looked great last year. Bringing in a young stud like Hunt, in no way helps Chubb. As good as Chubb is, he could lose his job if Hunt outperforms him at the end or if Chubb misses any time, having a regular backup is ok but having someone who potentially could be as good or better than Chubb is not a positive thing. Chubb has no room to get off to a slow start. That being said, Hunt with his troubles could be cut tomorrow. We'll see.

I watched every college game I could. I'm not saying he's not a monster, I'm just saying bringing in Hunt doesn't helps him fantasy wise.

Chubb is already established in Cleveland. Have a hard time believing Cleveland is thinking of replacing him.

And they most likely aren't. I'm saying having Hunt around means Chubb, if he gets off to a slow start, has an injury, or any number of things, when he is out, he will be replaced by Hunt, who is not your every day backup. What happens if he explodes? Do they stick him on the bench? Chubb has no room for error, especially in the first 8 games.

I think Hunt is a cheap insurance policy/good player at a discount. Cleveland is amassing as much talent as they can and the fans deserve that after a decade of terribleness. Chubb is too good when healthy to have Hunt destroy his value. Maybe Hunt takes 10% of the carries and is the 3rd down back. The loss in receptions is unfortunate and probably keeps Chubb from being elite. I do think they are going to use Hunt. I also wonder about Chubb’s knee. At one thought I wondered if he would ever play football again as not everyone recovers from horrible knee injuries (Robert Edwards and others). Chubb’s injury risk is worse than a RB who never tore their ACL as it is more likely to occur again vs someone who has not suffered an ACL tear. So in that way, Hunt also is an insurance policy. Hunt would be great in the Cleveland offense but I think he needs a serious injury to Chubb to take significant carries from him at this point.

I can envision a lot of different situations, but Hunt on a 1 year, Cleveland most likely wont pay him what other teams are willing to knowing they will need to pay Chubb.

Very possible. It's also possible that Hunt gets on video hitting a woman and never sees the field again. Lots of different things could happen. I think most likely is Chubb being Chubb and staying in control of the backfield.
The only denial going on in here is by Hunt bag holders.
I estimate Chubb will play about 60%-70% of the snaps, regardless of who is backing him up. If that number deviates when Hunt returns, wake me up. If Chubb's snaps are unchanged when Hunt returns, then that would be the definition of an inconsequential change. Nobody except for @beef thinks Hunt is as talented as Chubb. Your examples are terrible, too. Faulk (31) and Taylor (30) were aging vets and Jackson and MJD were drafted specifically to be their replacements. So I feel confident this situation is nothing like those two situations. Chubb was drafted to be the featured back, performed beyond expectations, and Hunt was signed to a pittance after a JAG filled in for him without a hitch on his former team.
There's no binary thinking in the above logic. If you're going to call something weak sauce, I'd say comparing Chubb/Hunt to Faulk/SJax is it.
Hunt owners went from thinking they had a golden goose to actually having a suspended backup. They're grasping for hope, but if we're going to play the odds, this will not be a two headed monster. Offseason headlines are always riddled with that kind of hype, and it sounds good, but it almost never happens. 99% of the time, this kind of signing means the player is cheap insurance. After seeing what Williams did in KC, we don't even know if Hunt is as talented as everyone seemed to think.

#13 RB and #22 overall currently. His stats were at the #9 ppg (or so) as the starter last year with a prorated 32 catches for a full season as a rookie. This offense seems primed to do better and he would be an obvious benefactor if that plays out. Especially if they improve upon the #20 scoring offense ranking. The recent downward pendulum swing went too far, as it always does.
