Beastly
I think he had 19.4 yards after contact on one run alone today. There were 2 or 3 Giants on him and he just dragged them 10 yards down the field.@NFLPlus
Omarion Hampton could not be stopped
He picked up 19.4 extra yards after contact, per @NextGenStats

It's pretty undeniable at this point.I assume all of the skeptics who were posing in this and other threads as recently as a couple weeks ago are now converts.
I mean... wow. there's workhorse then there's the bolded.Omarion Hampton rushed 12 times for 128 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers’ Week 4 loss to the Giants, adding five receptions for 37 yards.
Committed to a pass-heavy game plan despite losing LT Joe Alt to an early high-ankle sprain, the Chargers gave Hampton just 17 total touches. As you can see, he made the most of them, including a 54-yard touchdown run in the closing minutes of the third quarter where he went untouched through the hole then found the right sideline. Hampton added another long run in the fourth, but the Bolts remained stubborn in their pass-happy ways. Hampton looks like something of a chugger with the ball in his hands, but he definitely outran a few Giants. This was an awesome day without caveat. No other Chargers back carried the ball. Hopefully Hampton is more of a focus for Week 5 against the Commanders. He will be in your lineup either way.

Underdog NFL
The only player with 120+ yards from scrimmage and 1+ TD in each of the past two weeks:
Omarion Hampton.
I’m really loving his use in the passing game so far. 11 catches the last two weeks. Even with the limited role the first 2 games, he’s on pace for 60+ catches. Only 3 RBs cleared that mark last season. Now if they'd just go run-heavy like everyone said they would....
Austin Abbott
Omarion Hampton’s on pace for over 1,600 yards and 9 TD’s..
He would’ve been the CLEAR RB1 in 95%+ of draft classes
Chargers GM (Joe Hortiz) mentioned it was a “unanimous” decision between their Front Office to draft Hampton..
1st in Scrimmage Yards by a Rookie through 4 weeks
Chargers RB Omarion Hampton ran 12 times for 44 yards and caught 6 balls for 26 yards before leaving in the 3rd quarter in Los Angeles’ Week 5 game against the Commanders (ankle).
He had 18 touches before leaving and broke plenty of tackles. His ankle got clipped in the middle of the second half and he was worked on in the blue medical tent before leaving with a trainer. With only 3:20 left as of this writing, this probably doubles as a recap blurb — Hampton’s ankle will be a major story we’re seeking clarity on in the next 24-48 hours, but it didn’t have the look of a devastating injury.

I really hate this seasonHopefully just precautionary but he was seen leaving the locker room in a walking boot.![]()

Burrow, Lamb, Hampton for me and also lost two others in my starting lineup today in Slayton and Shrader.Burrow, Nabers, Evans, HamptonI really hate this seasonHopefully just precautionary but he was seen leaving the locker room in a walking boot.![]()
Was hoping that i had not seen an injury thread this week meant we would get through unscathed.

Cant even be mad at my 1-4 record. Not much can do about horrendous injury luck.
Vidal feels like the better runner. Haskins does a little bit of everything well and may see more playing time.Vidal or Haskins for the FAAB spend this week?

Omarion Hampton -
Came up limping and favoring his Left foot.
Looks like he gets clipped by the defender into his route. Probably more of a pain deal versus actual injury.
Walking boots can often be for precautionary use to minimize load bearing and accelerate initial healing.
Doesn’t dictate severity.
The downside is we probably won’t get much info out of Jim Harbaugh regarding Omarion Hampton’s status.
Practice status will be key for Wk6.
They play the Dolphins next week who just gave up 200 yards to a backup RB. Could be something here for a week.I wouldn’t bother. Vidal was terrible last year. Hard to see him being startable in fantasy.
Dowdle is well above an average backup. And Haskins/Vidal are 3rd stringers. I'd temper expectations a bit. Startable in a pinch, sure. They play the Dolphins next week who just gave up 200 yards to a backup RB. Could be something here for a week.I wouldn’t bother. Vidal was terrible last year. As a Chargers fan, I cannot imagine a scenario in which I would pick up and start Vidal in any league. It would be rare that there isn't a better choice on the waiver wire even if you are desperate.
Yes, quite a reach thereIan Rapaport speculates based on the walking boot that Hampton could miss some time
-Genius, I don't know how he does it
Good grief, really?Sounds like Hampton could miss a few weeks, but are people really that interested in Vidal or Haskins? I can see both being the hot pickups this week, but I'm not so sure it matters that much. Herbert will just throw it even more, regardless how banged up their OL is. He may just have to run more.
Hell, I don't know how many weeks he will miss, He could be back next week for all I know. I was hoping maybe 1 at the most.
The problem is that O Line is just so banged up. Herbert is getting killed too.Sounds like Hampton could miss a few weeks, but are people really that interested in Vidal or Haskins? “Terrible thing, to live in fear. Brooks Hatlen knew it. Knew it all too well. All I want is to be back where things make sense. Where I won't have to be afraid all the time".The problem is that O Line is just so banged up. Not sure Vidal or Haskins do much at all and it's more of pass first and hope Herbert doesn't get injured.
Well F me
I don't normally handcuff, but did in one redraft with Connor/Benson and Hampton/Najee. You know, just to be safeUnbelievable
