Chubb still has his believers. If you're not sold, I imagine you shouldn't have a hard time moving him. I like Lindsay and was low on Chubb, but would still take Chubb.

I quoted you yesterday and said pretty much what you're saying here and you told me that you werent concerned about it because Booker sucksAgree with everything but the last part. If Freeman goes down, I could see Lindsay as splitting work with Booker :X that week, maaaaaaaybe splitting 60-40 with booker the next week, and then Denver bringing in another “Thunder” type.

I’m not sure what you mean here. I’m saying if Freeman gets hurt the Broncos would most likely be bringing in a big back as opposed to giving Lindsey the feature back role.
You seem to have misunderstood. What I meant was that Lindsey was more of a threat to Booker’s touches than Freeman’s.
which I still believe holds true. They’re different types of RBs. Which seems glaringly obvious.

Wouldn't classify Booker as lightning tho. More like a dense, slow moving rain cloud that drops little precipitation. But not lightning

As this thread itself proves, it's hard to project what happened in Week 1 to continue at that same pace all season, but Richard was someone I was looking verrrrrry close at instead of Lindsay.
RIchard's utilization was off the charts against the Rams, and while that was partly game flow, he is the de facto pass-catching back in Oakland, and they trust him and use him a lot regardless of game flow. Much higher floor than Lindsay, at this point, anyway.

No, I’m not. But some here are assuming that because I’m still high on Freeman I must be down on Lindsey, and the person I was responding to explicitly expressed concern over having drafted Freeman.
i think Lindsey is a good pickup. I’ve said so repeatedly.
and I’m encouraged by Freeman’s week one performance - as an owner I’d hoped for 15-20 touches with GL duties & I think imma get that.
my take is both are worth rostering, with Freeman likely having the better weekly floor.
this week against the Raiders, who travel to altitude & play on short rest, I’m betting Freeman has a 100+/1 game, while Lindsey has 3-5 receptions, but not as many carries. That’s a guess, not a prediction. Anything can happen any given Sunday, but IMO the Raiders are gonna be gassed, and Freeman is gonna mow them down.
if after this week the touches are distributed the same with the same results, I’ll change my opinion about this backfield.
No need to assume - I’m pretty open with my opinions. I was responding to specific comments about Freeman suffering from Lindsey’s ascension, and disappointment with Freeman’s results (or guessing that every team will put 9 in the box & dare Denver to throw - hey, how’d that work out? lol) - pretty straightforward stuff I thought.

Given Oakland’s dearth of weapons & Carr’s willingness to check-down, I think Rishard is worth more than Lindsey as well. Agree about a higher weekly floor.

IMHO Only idiot moves as far as rookie RBs would be dropping SB Or Freeman (talk about a 180 stance) Seen another post suggesting 100% for FAAB on Connor. Guess Bell shows up tomorrow and should be lucky to have an rbbc role or something So anyway I know some were pretty high on Chubb But it’s like Cleveland has the caddy in storage while they pound the hell out of their rental... Hard for me to suggest you cut bait because I had no interest so I’m biased I can offer that I drafted Guice knowing he was worth nothing until next Season

Freeman will lead and get most of carries, goalline, etc. But the kid produced and will have a role.I really do not care to speak for other folks very much But I will say that some people have the ability to paint a picture good enough that it can cloud your own vision Chance it happened to Cecil in the past without even realizing it The NFL is just a strange animal You have speed w/o pads Then you have practice speed Maybe for some there's a Pre Season speed Finally you have NFL speed This mofo has NFL speed!Hope that helps ya some Good day to you!

Aggressive call on Freeman's yards IMHO, but to your point, not at all out of the realm of possibility, as he's facing a team with a short turn-around, and forced to sign two brand new President Trump due to injury to two of their more promising starters (Hall, Ellis).
A good recipe for a solid ground and pound game that plays to Freeman's abilities.

That’s my thought - and with the woeful secondary, the Raiders simply can’t afford to stack the box.
Freeman had 71 with 8-9 in the box against a well rested Seattle D, who’s far better against the run than Oakland, IMO. 100+ seems pretty reasonable given the same touches for Freeman this week - and I expect him to approach 20.
This game sets up perfectly for a Freeman breakout, with a least a couple long ones. If I played DFS I’d not hesitate to spend my budget on elite WRs & make Freeman a budget back.
On the flip side, given the circumstances if the Broncos don’t approach this game like that, it’ll be a pretty strong indicator that Lindsey owners will have at least a weekly flex play & maybe more, while Freeman will be the same, with lower PPR ceiling.
Time will tell.

I mean ya think Denver treating the older man like a vet while taking things slow w the younger rookie? Actually may make some sense. I just think NFL fans are overdue for smaller but untouchable tough back. Guy out scored both Zeke n’ Howard on my team. I’m onboard this choo choo Train!

I don't really have insight on whether he'll succeed or not but I do have some thoughts on my dynasty strategy for whatever it's worth.
I bid $51 out of $50 in my 0.5 PPR 24-man rosters dynasty league on him (traded for 1 blind bid dollar earlier in the season) and got him.
I'm by no means sold on him. I think it is more likely he flames out then hits but I also think there is some chance he ends up putting up Chris Thompson type numbers. I feel basically like I'm spending all of my blind bid money on a mid 2nd round rookie pick type player.
Dynasty waiver wires are much more slim pickings then redraft waiver wires especially at RB. Based on past seasons, it seems like there's maybe 2 to 4 players a year that put up these type of numbers in a game and are on waiver wires when they do. There's a huge difference between being in a league with 15 to 16 man rosters and 24 man rosters.
I think have a really strong and deep roster already. My immediate tight end situation is a bit concerning though (Jimmy Graham, Charles Clay, and Hayden Hurst) but I was rather unconvinced that any of TEs on waivers could help me (Gates, Dissly, Jesse James, and Ian Thomas). I feel like Lindsay has considerably higher odds of hitting then those TEs so I put my money on him figuring that I can probably shore up that position later by trade if need be as there are quite a few teams that are hurting at RB.
In a redraft league with shallower rosters, I would not have spent more then 25% of my blind bid money. If I was a middle of the road team in dynasty, I probably wouldn't have spent more then 50% because I feel like constant turnover at the bottom of your roster can be very helpful in that situation. If I was a bottom feeder in dynasty, I probably also would have considered bidding 100% of my blind bid money.

I’ve held him the last two years. Looks great on the field but they never commit to him. I was hoping they would run an RBBC with him and Washington but then Gruden brought in Lynch. Last weekend was the most he has been used by far, I wouldn’t expect it to be duplicated. His prior high was 5 receptions.

In the other two I got him with #3 priority, and in the second round of claims after I already got Enunwa.

I won with a bid of 377....179 runner up
I tied another guy with a 401 bid and he won the tie breaker. I am thin at RB in this league.
I wasn't even close in my other league where I bid 277 and the winner bid 601 with a runner up of 400. The winner was already solid at RB.

Was just looking at Lindsay further and stumbled across the fact he had 548 carries the past 2 years at Colorado...way more than I thought and that # looks even crazier when you compare it to the studs from this past draft...it is amazing that this kid did not get drafted...

This is starting to remind me of the season long forecasts for Cohen in 2017 after Week 1. Pretty sure all of them were north of 730 YFS 53 rec & 3 TDs (most were like 70 receptions 1200 YFS 6 TDs)

Part of this may simply be a matter of "knowing your league". One of my dynasties there are two or three owners that *will* spend 75-100% on week 1 waivers. If there is a sought after guy these first few weeks, you simply will have to spend that much to snag them in this league.hamsterdam said:

Now that waivers ran in my FBG championship leagues, I saw him go from 180-650 out of 1000. The website shows what the next highest bids were, and in each case there were other bidders in the same neighborhood, so.........

Lindsey looked like the best Rb in this game in my opinion. Better than Freeman Booker Carson or Penny.

I’m in 14 FBG leagues, the lowest winning bid was $189. I got him in 9:14 leagues, average bid of $479.
FFPC Main Event I was able to get him in 1:2 leagues, winning bid of $529. My other Main Event team, (where we needed a RB pretty desperately) we bid $627, he went for $877.
FFPC Dynasty, I bid an average of $389, landed him on 3:5 teams.
