RB Rachaad White, TB (2 Viewers)

White did not do anything for fantasy, but he was there for that whole drive when they needed to score. He was blocking for Baker like no other.
12.5 in ppr isn’t nothing for fantasy imo. Especially with so many people starting Band Aid Squads this season.

Agreed - 12.5 points isn't bad but that TD salvaged increasingly limited usage. Unfortunately, 6 touches is a drop in the bucket for a guy that got so much volume last year and made him a valuable fantasy asset.

I expected them to use him as a true receiver more after Evans/Godwin.

They need the help.

Have Bucky/Tucker be your more traditional RBs.

Wonder if we might see it more out of the bye to get Baker more options? But, Mike could return.

I’m a certified, card-carrying hater, but I can’t deny he’s been a stud in the receiving game which has been critical to the team’s success offensively. Trouble is, I’ve got one guy in one of my leagues who is willing to deal, but wants Murray in return. I’ve got Hurts so I’m trying to buff up my team before the trade deadline, but that feels steep to me. Double sucks as we’re both probably playoff-bound teams and I’ve been burned by my ex-players before…

Any fans of Rachaad want to talk me into making the trade? Or is my evaluation appropriate?

Unless you're desperate for a flex, I don't want to face Kyler Murray in the playoffs.

Took him at the 11.11 pick in a PPR Best Ball SF Dynasty start up. I felt that's a no brainer there for a 25 year old pass catching RB. Plus I have Irving so felt like good insurance.

He fumbles the game away and then did not get a single carry/pass last week. Let’s see if they use him at all in the playoffs. Bucky seems like a 3 down back now.

Fumbles happen. I think it was the careless way he did it that got him benched.

Bucky’s fumble against ATL cost them a game too, but that one was punched out.

Rachaad was holding that thing away from his body begging to lose it.

Seemed pretty harsh punishment for a guy who's earned his stripes, but we don't know what goes on behind the scenes. Plus it's hard to keep Bucky off the field at this point.

Rachaad has certainly made his share of plays. Bucky is very clearly a much better between the tackles runner though.

May have been a combination of game plan and punishment?

That fumble could have been very costly. White had bad opening drive fumbles against ATL and LAC also.

I can confirm that Rachaad White is dealing with what was described to me as an extortion attempt and he has retained the services of attorneys TJ Grimaldi and Michelle Gervais. No further details were provided. Full statement: “The FBI and other appropriate authorities are currently looking into an extortion attempt against Rachaad White. Illegal and defamatory threats and demands against Rachaad and his family will be met with zero tolerance. We will continue to exercise all legal avenues to protect Rachaad’s rights as a victim of extortion.”

Grizzard on the RB room: "There’s a spot for all three of those guys. You can see, of course, what Bucky can do in his rookie year. What Rachaad brings to the table from a pass-catching standpoint and even in the run game. Really good route-runner, we all know he’s really good with the ball in his hands on screens, drop back pass game. I don’t want to compare him to a lot of other guys, but he is close to if not as good as anybody we see in terms of pass protection in the NFL."

He has real NFL value.

The contract year “show what I’ve got” comments are kind of silly. We know what you’ve got.

You’re a good real NFL RB. But, as an actual runner you leave a lot to be desired.

Got out on White at the right time. Last year I only took him once in about 70 managed leagues and regretted that pick instantly after making it in the 5th round. His price tag was just too high last year usually 3rd or 4th. Now this year I will likely be fading Bucky and his 2nd round price tag.

Thoughts on his role? Have the coaching staff made comments?

I know Bucky is fantastic and logically should continue to get more work. Looking at White's game log, he lost the 2 fumbles on 12/15 and 12/22. He basically stopped getting the ball after that. If it was due to fumbles, surely they're working to correct that in the off-season.

He finished the year with 195 touches (51 receptions), 1006 total yards and 9 Total TD's. He finished as RB23 despite his last 2 games (7 touches vs CAR, 0 vs NO.). FBG has him as RB33. Fantasypros has him as RB41.

It seems the working assumption is Bucky gets more and more of the backfield work. But if White gets back to where he was before the last 2 fumbles, he could return solid value (especially PPR). Potentially good flex option with upside for more if Bucky goes down.

Edit to say: I don't have any shares of White in dynasty/keeper. I'm not really meaning to plant my flag. Just noticed he finished better than I had assumed based on where he seems to stand this season.

I can see the Bucs moving away from White and being replaced by Tucker in the not so distant future.

Well, this is Whites last year of his rookie contract, so that’s a pretty safe assumption for 2026.

White is so cheap right now in redraft and dynasty start up. Good Bucky protection and RB 4 type guy at that price.

White will have a role. He's a great receiver and blocker. Those guys always have roles.

Bucky doesn't have a "bell cow" body. I don't think it would be wise to give him the 300+ touches some people are pegging him for.

Bump.

Why is FBG so high on this guy? I love his value, but they keep bumping him up and up and up.

They have him at RB32 above JCM, Ekeler, Mason, Etienne, Javonte, Tank, etc.

Didn’t notice that. 100% agree and I’d take every single one of the players you listed before White.
Maaaaaybe not Ekeler.

That is pretty wild. I would assume they either really don't like Irving, or really don't like Egbuka, and think White will getting high pass volume while Godwin is out.

Personally, I think White has almost no upside, and a not a real high floor either. If Irving goes down, I think Tucker gets 40% of the workload. I'd have White outside the top-50 RBs, and I don't think he absolutely needs to be drafted.

My guess is FBG perceives more opportunity for White because Bucky won't hold up physically.

Roster cut down yesterday and it was down to RWhite, KMiller & MMayer
Since RB’s are scarce, and Kellen Moore’s recent praise of Kendre, I went Michael Mayer (my TE4 in TE+)
Gave serious consideration to cut R White

I think White had success coexisting with Bucky for a time, White as a 3rd down pass catching back would have value, could see him putting up 70 catches.

Would have liked to have seen a trade for cleaner opportunities for all

I think people are probably too high on Bucky extrapolating his end of year numbers across a full season.

Tampa is a really good screen team. White is a great blocker and receiver. I do expect he’ll see more workload than fantasy guys expect considering the differences in their relative ADPs.

White had 1,000 total yards, 50+ catches last year, and still scored 9 times. He’s a weapon in the passing game and a good RB. He’s not going away.
