Am I the only one who finds this situation extremely underrated? On 10/3 coach said Kelly is day to day. That same day Kelly said he expects to play after the bye. 8 days later he's now a long shot to play? Then today Gruden quickly revealed Perine will get majority of carries and that he is capable of having success both when QB is under center and shotgun formations where Oaklahoma ran its scheme. It sounds like to me Perine has figured it out during the bye and he's ready to breakout. I'm not familiar with J. Gruden but coaches normally aren't forthcoming like this unless they know they have something. I scooped him up soon as news Kelly missed practice spread. Was just surprised how quick Gruden was to announce this. Anyway I'll be monitoring this situation closely.

: In a game where he had the opportunity to break out, I don't think Perine proved that either he 1) will take over any time this season from Kelley when Fat Rob is healthy, 2) that he could really carry the load as the main rushing back, or that 3) Washington's offense is geared towards using Perine's skill set in a more featured role (where Rob Kelley has showed that a little more this year).
