RB Ty Johnson, BUF (1 Viewer)

Agreed on McKissic getting touches in the passing game.

But given that the Giants give up 131 rushing yards/game, a positive game script and 16+ touches could yield high RB2 numbers for Ty Johnson.
Ty is not getting close to 100% of the carries but 55% and a few catches should make him a solid flex play.

Tra Carson started for the Lions. McKissic came in next then Ty on the first drive. We’ll see how it shakes out but seems they might like Carson having taken him off waivers a couple of weeks ago

Should have known this would happen

McKissic isn’t sized to be a full time back and TJ has no experience

There's more to the game than the box score. He had a couple nice runs called back & has the highest ceiling by far.

TJ is a long play. He's a rookie on a contending team so it could take awhile.

Ty Johnson rushed seven times for 25 yards in the Lions' Week 8 win over the Giants, adding a 13-yard reception.

In a FAAB nightmare come true, Johnson neither started nor lead the Lions' four-man (!) committee in touches. Those honors belonged to waiver-claim Tra Carson, who turned in 12 ineffective carries while drawing zero targets in the passing game. J.D. McKissic "led" in that area, catching three balls for two yards. Johnson did win the snap battle, taking the field for 24 plays to Carson's 19 and McKissic's 16. Paul Perkins mixed in six snaps. Johnson did have two nice first half runs called back by penalty. It's quite possible the Lions make a trade addition before Tuesday's deadline. If not, Johnson will be a low-floor FLEX for Week 9 in Oakland as the Lions sort this out.

These are they guys you sell high if on your roster and avoid blowing your FAAB on. Did you guys really think they'd give a scrub rookie the lions (no pun) share or touches? Come on.

If in fact Detroit is the rumored team for Drake, big mistake on many levels. 4th rounder for a guy you may not being back next year?? This team isn't going to do anything in the playoffs IF they even get close to making them.

Even if he is traded for, if the Lions didn't use Kerryon properly, no reason to think they'll use Drake properly. Especially since KJ > Drake

I cut him for a kicker so I would have to waste a waiver priority on one going into Zs bye week.

If this guy is taking up roster space on your fantasy team, thats not a good look for your team.

Drake coming in on Tuesday is the worst kept secret.

Flores and Patricia are tight.

Maybe, and im just spit balling here, KJ isnt as great as we all thought and now he has a history of injuries. He is decent but he is not capable of the entire load and Drake is the same kinda player as KJ.

Its a worthy trade, not one thats so bad. Clearly the runners Detroit had in the backup are not great.

Absolutely possible. But this team has greater needs than trading a 4th rounder for Drake.

Ty led the 4 man RB committee in snaps (25, Carson 19, JD 16, Perkins 6). He did have two nice runs called back for holding, one of which was away from the play.

No reason Carson or Perkins should be getting touches moving forward. So, knowing Patricia, they'll get a lot.

Is Ty droppable if a guy like Breida is on your waiver wire?
Depends on your league depth and the extent to which your league hoards RBs

im holding in a 10 teamer

I wish I shared your optimism but that backfield is crowded
It depends on the rest of your roster. He just missed a TD reception and a near miss late in the game. Both of which COULD have been TD's.

They didn't add anyone via trade either and this organization thinks they still have a shot in the playoffs.
