RB Tyler Badie, DEN (1 Viewer)

Hmm this might be one of those back to the wire cases
Does anyone have an update for what actually happened?

I have only heard that he took a hard shot then after he was on the sidelines he suddenly collapsed? From reading the blurbs it sounded very scary.

Is dude okay? Not in a football sense. Is he just okay?
I saw what you wrote then saw then strapping him to a back board. Scary

I saw the whole play multiple times. It looked like an ordinary hit, but he had a really bad reaction. Could it have been internal? I'd imagine a kidney shot??

Quincy Williams tackled him and caused a fumble, but it didn't look like anything out of the ordinary. Neither did Damar Hamlin's hit look like anything terrifying.

In fact, Marvin Mims had been hit moments before and it looked much worse than Badie's hit.

I pray for the young man and hope he's okay. That didn't look good.

Saints were winning most of the way vs the Eagles, lot of it was 3-0, also up 12-7 and just could not get that knockout punch and it cost them
But their defense was very good. They are getting 3 points vs a Falcons team that can't get out of its own way.

Saints 20
Falcons 17

Hopefully a stinger, but the back board is scary. Makes me serious doubt it's a kidney or organ injury. I don't see that happening if he wasn't feeling or getting some sort of tingling in his extremities. Praying for the kid and his family, very scary situation.

Last I read he was back with the team but I also see he is a candidate for IR.

Still don't know what the actual injury is.

I believe it was a back injury. Kind of like throwing out your back where you are just incapacitated for awhile until it stops spasming. My guess is the hit to his side/back was a shock but the back muscles didn't start spasming until he was on the sideline and it just caused him to go down to all fours. I have seen a buddy have that happen. It's scary but in the end it's just that he "threw his back out".

I have no idea what that means to his playing at this point.

I wonder if he will go on IR?

They need to rule him out so I can manage the rest of my roster. Questionable my rear! Dude was taken off on a board last week.

Probably a good guess, back spasms are no joke. They're incapacitating at times and I know the all fours pose well. They were rubbing on his lower back which was probably bad medical practice as back spasms caused by impact certainly warrant xrays and further testing. If he had a fractured spine and they were rubbing it like that, just wow. Praying for the best possible outcome for the kid. Life can be so cruel. He's worked so hard for years and was finally getting his shot. Some things just aren't meant to be.

Probably safe to just cut bait at this juncture. The Broncos still have 3 healthy RB's plus Estime could come off IR as early as next week.

I remember a couple years ago he looked real good for one game and then I picked him up and he immediately got hurt. Been on the watchlist ever since tho, picked him up for free in dyno when dobbins went to IR. There’s worse free shots

my view before the season started..
Badie is JK Dobbins backup. Mostly because Harvey is a liability protecting the QB. Picked him up in all leagues this week despite the tough matchup.

My guess Harvey’s role gets a slight bump. His 1st and 2nd down touches were going to increase gradually as the season progresses. Dobbins injury could make it easier to add more now that he’s built trust. If he figures out pass pro, look out for a major breakout.

I think pass pro for RBs is overrated by fantasy players. Achane for the Dolphins is horrible at pass pro and they don't ask him to do it. I suppose it depends on the team philosophy.

We'll see soon but I'm going with Jaleel sliding into the #2RB role, Badie's role not changing much, and strong chance during their bye week they bring in a bigger RB who would compete with Jaleel for the #2RB role, with Badie's role again remaining fairly unchanged.

And I'm forceasting a RBBC but Harvey getting more then what I'd view as a slight bump.

I thought he was pretty good in the Titans game. All summer everyone spoke of the rookie and here was this guy. He got a pretty fair amount of work for someone no one talked about.
Clear scat back not lead back.
The two aren't the same type, don't mean to insinuate that.

Because FF and RBs, I've kinda kept an eye on him. He falls into the shadows and does nothing some weeks.

Pretty good scat back is still a fair description.

Lil Jordan FF Wrecker has returned to doing what he does. I have no idea if he'll catch a few behind the LOS or short and wreck this kid or maybe a few downfield and wreck Sutton. He's never good enough to be FF worthy but 3 catches messes things up. Dude's been a prob for a long long time.
