RB Ty'son Williams, BAL (4 Viewers)

I think that's overthinking it. The offense may struggle more without Wentz, but they're going to lean on the run game with Taylor.

ETA: I'm starting Ty'Son over Sanders.

If there’s a game to have high confidence in both Williams & Murray, this has to be it. They’re gonna run run run till their daddy takes the t-Bird away. 

 
Starting him in all my leagues where i have him. He is averaging the third most yards per touch behind pollard and Chubb and is a lock for 15 touches based on weeks 1 and 2. Ravens should handle the lions easily so i can see him getting more touches in a lopsided game.

it’s a tough call. Both of the Indy backup QBs looks horrible in preseason. 

Unless one of them steps up & looks like an NFL starting QB, the Titans should dominate TOP. 

hard to bench a 1st or 2nd round RB, but I could see it here.

Fair point. Fortunately, I don't have to make that decision, but I'd personally rather see Ty'Son blow up on my bench than Taylor.

Agree, but a blowout would be bad, IMO. 

After losing their top 3 RBs in the preseason I have a hard time seeing them use Williams to salt the game away. Freeman is slightly more expendable for meaningless 2nd half carries if it truly goes that south. 

What Williams/Murray owners should hope for is at least a competitive 1st half like the Lions gave GB. Not sure how realistic that is after the demoralizing L the Lions just took.

Agreed. A Blowout wouldn’t be ideal but I think Lions can keep up… make it a game, based on their week 1 and 2 performances.

The Ravens are fresh off the big win against KC, this seems like a let down game for the Ravens.

I have a hard time believing that but I suppose it’s possible. 

It would be a significant upset. I could see a let-down loss against a more talented team, but that Lions D just isn’t great. Nor is their offense. Of their special teams.

Talent matters in the NFL. Ravens have a lot of it. Lions notsomuch. 

but hey, any given Sunday. :shrug:

I don't think the Ravens will lose the game, but the post I quoted made mention of a lopsided Ravens victory. Coming off the big win against KC I'm not so sure it will be lopsided

Ooh, that's a tough one. I would expect similar workloads for each, and clearly Williams has the better match-up. Maybe DAL takes a pass-heavy approach w/ PHI (similar to TBB game)?

There's the old "never bench your studs" thing in play here... question is - does Zeke still sit at the "studs" table?

 
He's in over Robert Woods for me in the flex and my thought was "am I overthinking?"

But over Zeke!? That is overthinking it.

I own Williams, and maybe I'm in the minority here, but there is no way I would start him over Taylor.

 
Who are you starting Ty'son Williams over this week? The one league I own him in I am going to start Damian Harris instead of Williams.

 
Lions are only giving up 3.8 ypc 
Their pass defense is what sucks. 75.5 completion percentage and a league worst 10.8 yards per attempt.

Lotta hype for Ty'Son Williams this week everywhere ya go, people wanna know. It certainly seems like the stars are aligning for him. I drank some juice on DraftKings and considering starting him at Flex over the likes of McLaurin, D Harris, J Williams, L Murray, and Rondale Moore. Crazy thoughts, eh. Btw...start only 2 WR (Hill and Lockett) and 2 RB's (Taylor and Montgomery).

Edit: I just changed Ty'Son out for Damien Harris LOL

Not sure if serious 

6th round rookie rb got 100 yards rushing in his 1st game ever.

Aaron Jones scored 4 TDs.

Their ENTIRE defense sucks

TySon is my flex this week, instead of: Damien Harris, Gio Bernard, Brandon Aiyuk, Brandin Cooks, Laviska Shenault, and Cordarrelle Patterson.

ARob. Big believer in ARob but at this point I've seen more Williams than I have Fields --> ARob.

15 or so RB touches (including all the RB targets if the last two weeks are worth going on) behind the Balt OL against the Lions seems safer.

 
If I owned Williams (I don't),  I would definitely sell him.  He won't have any value beyond 2021.  The only way I would hang on to him in 2021 is if I'm a contender and I'm thin at RB.  The way RBs have been dropping I might need him at some point.  However, if I'm a contending team and I'm set at RB for the year, I would be trying like hell to sell him.

I'm considering it in my dynasty league, but think his stock remains sandbagged by L.Murray/L.Bell/Freeman skepticism. Really don't think I could get more than a 3rd round rookie, perhaps not even that. My hope is the dust settles a bit over the next 2-3 weeks and he solidifies being the 60% carrier. If offered a 2nd at that point, maybe.

I think almost everyone knows he likely does not possess long term value - so he's not an easy sell in dynasty. You need to find a team that has a need for a stop gap RB. 

I picked him up off waivers in one league, and I'm heading into a rebuild there - so I did flip him for Van Jefferson and what should be a mid-second 2022 pick (I also threw in a 2022 5th round pick). I'm not particularly high on that return but Williams doesn't help me this year and it's unlikely he would next year - so I think this at least gives me future upside. Most teams tried to offer late picks since "he only has value for this year".

If I was competing, that's not a deal I would make. But on an 0-2 team that has 4 players on IR already, I'm ok with it.

I still like Williams and will be pulling for him. He should be a solid RB2/3 this season. Beyond that is cloudy.

I wouldn't do that personally if I owned Williams. I am already starting to get a weird hunch this is going to be a Murray week and Ty'son will bust. I'd start Javonte against the Jets, this his breakout game is coming.

yeah that was half in jest. I started Williams last week. I don’t think I’m taking him out until he gives me a reason to.

I think it would be foolish for anyone to offer a 2nd round rookie pick for Williams, especially with the presence of Murray.  Hell, forgot that, it's foolish without Murray.
