The Hunt:
Wow, what a powerful movie. Kindergarten teacher is a accused of something horrible, and we witness the fallout in the town and the lives effected by this. Very skillfully showed the different perspectives without being judgmental one way or the other. I hate to admit it, but the thing that impressed me most about it is:

Starting to make me doubt Lucas at the end. Even though I thought he was innocent through the whole thing, and we are reminded of his eye 'tell' during the scene with his friend at the end, I was had an awkward feeling when he picked her up at the end. I felt sleazy b/c I realized I was doing the exact same thing the rest of the town was - still having that haze of doubt everywhere he goes even though things were mildly back to normal.
Also not 100% sure how to take the ending. Seemed as though:
1. He was actually being shot at, telling us that the witchhunt is still not over
2. It was in his mind, but to me that plays more towards him having a guilty conscience.
Would love to hear other's takes on the movie/ending

My 7 yo scares easily. I tried watching SW Episode 1 with him about a year ago and that was a mistake. Darth Maul scared him and he didn't want to watch anymore. Don't think we got very far. FF a year later, and now he is watching more PG movies, etc.. Still gets creeped out by stuff, but it asking me if we can watch the 1st four Star Wars movies. Decided to take a stab at it, hoping that the older ones would be slightly less edgy or the effects wouldn't make it seem so bad to him.
This might be the best movie watching experience that I have had with him. I could tell that he was effected by Obi-Wan getting taken down by Vader. That was made easier by us hearing his voice later on. However, he was laughing at stuff and the best part - he was at the edge of his seat clinging to the blankets when the x-wings were attacking the Death Star. Could tell that he was getting more and more tense as they were losing ships. Seemed like he was just about to break when Han comes in to save the day: my son actually jumped up, did a fist pump, and yelled. Nice proud daddy moment - finally getting to show my kid Star Wars (and him liking it).
Next up - the films of Kubrick and Lynch

I agree that is what the film did in the way it presented the facts. I said I felt bad about having an odd feeling when he picked her up. could be also a lingering feeling of hoping that people dont see that and it starts all over.

Just saw "Mr. Peabody and Sherman". Man was that bad. Only laughed once.

yeah... damn- I loved this as a kid. thought the previews looked a promising mix of goofball 6yo and nostalgic 40ish yo fun.

I had low expectations. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Some will say it's just a duplicate of the original. The 300 sequel adds to the drama of the first movie with some incredible ship battles. In fact, I say the hand-to-hand combat scenes at sea are some of the best choreographed you'll see. So to summarize, I recommend the movie to action fans despite the inevitable poor reviews.

Interesting. Kept thinking about authenticity and self, but this review did it much better than I could. Spoilers abound, so watch the movie before you read the review. Of course, there are other elements of political philosophy that the Coen brothers will always throw in, and that people -- including myself -- will miss, but this review is a nice reflective, if not a primer if you don't mind spoilers.
Also, Llewyn doesn't seem as bad of a guy as the reviews say he is. He seems a bit put-upon, for all his beatnik tendencies.

Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson star in this action thriller about a CIA agent with amnesia. This must be the 10th time I've seen Goodnight, and I can't heap enough praise on this mess. I love it. A completely insane movie. There are scenes here that'll make you laugh out loud from the sheer silliness. The very definition of a guilty pleasure.

This is the End - I wanted to like this movie. People say the first half is good. I disagree. It was essentially a theatrical length inside joke. None of us were in on it. There were a handful of funny moments, but it was generally disappointing.

Non-stop, mindblwoing, action film. I urge everyone to go out and check this out as it truely is an amazingly fun ride. The violence is plentiful and original, the fight scenes were very well coreographed and the camera work is great. It's a foreign film (Indonesian), the plot and dialogue are minimal yet there is still enough there to create stakes for the action make sense 9.5/10
