DIG, BABY.
Never really thought about it.
60's/70's Ridgewood. Everyone knew everyone and there weren't many rules. Just be home by 6pm for dinner. Later days I was briefly homeless and singing in a metal band. Good times!
., and I have 1 hour left..
i've watched over 400 movies named Audition. not this oneAudition
The movie is longer than I remember, and the build-up takes longer than expected (about 50 minutes before #### hits then fan?) . Then phone call + smile + bag =., and I have 1 hour left..
Your Audition movies typically tied to descriptions like "couch", "first time", "fake" ?i've watched over 400 movies named Audition. not this one
Put down the bunny.Cyrus the Virus?![]()
Forgot Chappelle was in this movie too.
I actually did rewatch The Rock after you mentioned it. It’s so silly but I did enjoy it.And no, I didn't make it through Con Air. 90s action movies haven't been holding up much for me. The ones that have have mostly been across genres and have action mixed in.
Did I get you to focus on that bizarre military room ---> disgusting bathroom transition?I actually did rewatch The Rock after you mentioned it. It’s so silly but I did enjoy it.
Cliff Robertson played a developmentally disabled adult in Charly, which is based off of the short story "Flowers For Algernon," which is about a procedure that takes someone on the tail end of the IQ spectrum and turns him into one of the brightest on the other side of it, only to see the surgery unwind and reverse itself. It's a character portrayal of somebody getting smarter until he's a genius and then realizing that he's getting dumber and dying all in one fell swoop.IMO. I mean who is Cliff Robertson and what was Charly? I've never heard of either.
Mr. Mojo said:I watched the 2021 version of Dune this week.
I haven't seen any of the other film versions and haven't read any of the books, so I'm a newbie here.
I enjoyed it. Good cast and production values. It wasn't a classic, but it was good enough to watch the next chapter.
lol yes you did, it was a such a silly movie all the way around but it was funKarmaPolice said:Did I get you to focus on that bizarre military room ---> disgusting bathroom transition?
was not a fan at all either. depressing dogma to the hilt. IMOWife and I watched Power of the Dog. We both thought it was terrible.
No issues with the acting. Quite solid. But the movie, as a whole, was really bad. In our opinion.
What do you mean by Dogma?was not a fan at all either. depressing dogma to the hilt. IMO
hot liquid dog flowing down the side of a Wolfcano. i had a flashback all about itWhat do you mean by Dogma?
i only like good movies….hey ohKeep seeing extreme reviews from opposite ends. Some hype it up and some claim it's too long and boring.
no idea. just seemed to flow as I typed. What do you mean by Dogma?
It didn't hold up when it came out.I am sure Twister will end my streak of 90s movies that haven't held up.![]()
I was thinking Power of the Dogma lolno idea. just seemed to flow as I typed.
For a pretty stark juxtaposition last night I watched Jurassic Park after Twister. I was amazed how bad Twister's f/x were, and I am still amazed at how good JP looks. It didn't hold up when it came out.
About the only Bill Paxton movie I didn't like. That it also features Helen Hunt and Jami Gertz makes it a triple shame.
Agree, never got the appeal of Twister beyond the great cast.Andy Dufresne said:It didn't hold up when it came out.

I love Jackass. I can't explain it, because I usually hate that kind of behavior.Last night I watched some Jackass since I was listening to The Big Picture's pod about it and I didn't know these idiots had a new movie. Yes, I still laugh at a few things, but I definitely forgot how nauseating the 2nd movie was. :X
The stuff I seem to find the funniest is the stuff more on the "prank" side - ie High Five and the Valentine Letter. I just must have blocked out of my memory how many nut punches, body fluid injesting, and messing with animals segments I had to wade through to get there.
I think it was mostly Pt 2 that got me. When it's funny, it's really funny. I think starting with Yellow Snowcone, there were a few that really turned my stomach, and I don't remember that stuff bothering me nearly to that level in my younger days.I love Jackass. Same - I dont care for the gross out stuff.... I just enjoy the sheningan/stuntsI think it was mostly Pt 2 that got me. When it's funny, it's really funny. Hit Rounders yet?Lol - I know I said I need to stop with the 90s marathon, but I watched Dark City and Being John Malkovich yesterday.
Now it's time to make a list of Oscar nominees that I can actually stream and start in on some newer movies.
two of my faves (the latter alltime Top Ten) from the eraLol - I know I said I need to stop with the 90s marathon, but I watched Dark City and Being John Malkovich yesterday.

Love these. Need to rewatch Dark City, which I haven't seen since it came out. I researched Malkovich in the last year and was happy to see how well it held up.Lol - I know I said I need to stop with the 90s marathon, but I watched Dark City and Being John Malkovich yesterday.
