What is going on with Reggie Wayne? I have not had the chance to see the colts in a few weeks so I have no idea what is happening, but where is he on the stat line? I continue to start him against bad Defense's thinking he is due for a HUGE game. Benching next week vs. DET (Jax is wk 16) which will be the game where he has a HUGE day. :goodposting: :missing:   :censored:  :X

I'm sure he is getting doubled and/or tripled until Harrison gets back into the mix. That may have happened today by the way. But if the IND DEF is going to mount the opposing team like today I'm sure Manning is looking to get as many guys involved as he can to build team confidence going into the playoffs.

If that happened, that must be why Harrison had a 60 yard catch and a short yardage TD.

Manning is a stud so if he sees a WR getting open against a DB you can bet he will look there first. Harrison must have had a good match-up or else he just had a really good game finally. With Wayne drawing the primary coverage you have to think someone has a better coverage situation on damn near every play. Once Manning starts burning the defenses regularly then Wayne will begin to see a little more operating room. This IND team looks great heading into the playoffs.

They explained it on one of the pregame shows. The Colts have no running game and no deep threats besides Wayne. This allows teams to double team him and focus their coverage on stopping him from making big plays.

Manning has to feed his stud a monster game to this confidence going again. I would be shocked if Manning didn't throw many balls Reggies way against Detroit.

I guess I am going to keep starting him with the "he is due" theory. I have Calvin Johnson and Steve Smith and can only start 2. I have to keep rolling the Reggie Wayne dice hoping next week they come up 7.

I dont have the balls to sit wayne, but if you look at this season, Indy's Wr havent done well against bad teams

In part because of him, I'm in the 3rd place bowl rather than the championship bowl but, what the hell, I'll take it. For those in the championship, he's come up pretty good when it counted.

He had 7 for 104 last week. That didn't help your team?He has put up a couple stinkers this season though. I'm under the impression that he's had some nagging injuries that have caused a minor drop in his stats. He'll be a nice undervalued player in drafts next season.

Yep, thanks Reg.

Thanks for not stepping out at the one yard line.

Reggie Wayne has gone out of bounds or was tackled at the one yard line 3 times, once at the 2, and one other time inside the 5 this year. This is the difference between 2 or 3 points and 10+ in TD heavy leagues, depending on the length of the pass. I never took him out all year and dealt with the 2's and 3's....and the 41 yarder last night was 10 points alone. Nice! :lmao:

Oh, and way to miss that block that gave Rhodes the 3 yard loss and turned your TD into 41 yards instead of 38 yards. 3 extra points could be the difference in the championship.

PS: Steve Smith is my other starter and he has 3 out/down at the one, and 2x out/down at the 2. These two combined have 11 of these inside the 5 this year. That's a difference of anywhere from 66-100 points in TD heavy/long play bonus leagues.

I went in as the 4th seed rather than the 3rd, and would've beaten the other guy.
