Reggie Brown - Phi WR (1 Viewer)

I read he was limited in practice Wednesday. Is he practicing fully today? Is he even worth rostering at this point? Reid stated Curtis will start opposite Jackson. However, it seems Phili has several 3 WR sets, etc.

The situation is fluid and the offense has potential so he's certainly worth a roster spot in most leagues. I wouldn't play him this weekend...he's not fully healthy yet and the Eagles have lots of depth at the position. Donovan had an interesting quote below.

Here's the latest update on the Birds' WR situation:

Eagles Notes

Kevin Curtis to start in return

Kevin Curtis, who led the Eagles with 1,110 receiving yards last season, will play his first game of the season Sunday against Atlanta at Lincoln Financial Field.

And he won't just be easing back into the lineup.

Coach Andy Reid said yesterday that Curtis, who underwent sports hernia surgery in August, would start with rookie DeSean Jackson when the Eagles resume play after a bye week.

If Reggie Brown is able to return from a groin pull, the Eagles will have all six wide receivers available for the first time this season. Brown was limited at practice yesterday.

There was some question whether Jackson would hold on to his starting spot when Curtis and Brown, the team's top two wide receivers last season, returned. Jackson leads the Eagles with 29 catches for 433 yards, an average of 14.9.

"Reggie and Kevin are our two top receivers," quarterback Donovan McNabb said. "I guess people forget about Reggie, and that's sad."

The Eagles' wide receivers have accounted for only three touchdowns this season. Hank Baskett has two and Jackson the third.

"We've got a couple of guys who haven't played in a while," Reid said. "You have to work them in and do what you need to do. That's how we've always done it here."

I'm bumping this thread because I own him in one league,

and I am about to cut bait on him, unless anyone can give me a valid reason not to.

This guy is a waste of a roster spot. I really thought he was a nice "buy low" at the start of the season.

Unfortunately, now he's on his way to the dustbin.

Unless it's dynasty, you should drop him. He's not really a slot receiver, and rightnow, Curits & Jackson are clearly bthe Eagels #1 & 2 WR.

He's worth holding in dynasty, I feel, if you've got the room.

I've got him in a dynasty, but I can't see the value in holding him any longer.

I dont think he has value.

Jackson came in, outplayed brown by miles and took his spot.

Brown has really shown nothing except he is hurt..alot.

Curtis Avant Basket and Jackson are the main WRs.

I could see Basket having more value because I think the FO really likes him. He makes plays and has gotten better each season so far. He could be that slot guy the eagles will have around for a few seasons.

Agreed - I can't see how he has much value in any format. The door was wide open for him for at least a few years to become the go-to receiver in a very pass-friendly offense, and he never took advantage of it.I doubt he'll get the chance again in Philly, and if not there, I don't see him having a ton of success elsewhere.
