The theater killing story was/is interesting.

This doesn't seem interesting at all. There are going to be a lot of witnesses that saw the events, so I don't see much controversy over what really happened. I imagine this will end up pretty clear cut. I'm amazed that this got to 20+ pages so far.

I'm pretty sure the witnesses will all agree on the way the events happened. No chance any of them saw things from varying perspectives.

Of course the perspectives will vary, but the theme will be constant. That's what the detectives are after.

The dead body will be fairly constant too.
