to whom? Seems like it mattered a lot to the Republicans.Private email servers didn't seem to matter.
Are we now at the point where we just throw up our arms and say National Security does not matter?
to whom? Seems like it mattered a lot to the Republicans.Private email servers didn't seem to matter.
of course they mattered. you remember the FBI investigation right?Stopped here because I couldn't stop laughing. "Another day, another indication that @WhiteHouse officials knowingly increased the risk that foreign intelligence services could inappropriately access our most private places"
Private email servers didn't seem to matter.
Do you think the private server thing wasn't investigated enough?Stopped here because I couldn't stop laughing. "Another day, another indication that @WhiteHouse officials knowingly increased the risk that foreign intelligence services could inappropriately access our most private places"

A 15 month FBI investigation says it matters, it was a problem. Kushner doing classified on WhatsApp is a big problem. Top tier WH personnel with problems of “foreign influence, conflicts of interest, concerning personal conduct, financial problems, drug use and criminal conduct" is a bigger problem.Stopped here because I couldn't stop laughing. That investigation was a joke. She was "careless" was the result. No she broke the damn law but they aren't going to prosecute or revoke her access was the real result. And 63 million people voted for her so they supported her lack of care for National Security.A 15 month FBI investigation says it matters, it was a problem. nice to know we don’t need investigations. we just have you. That investigation was a joke. She was "careless" was the result. Kushner should be escorted out and prosecuted. End of story. I'm not playing right vs left with stuff and never have. But anyone that voted for Clinton and pulled the b-b-b but emails has no room to whine here (not saying that's you just saying in general).
We've hashed this over and over 100 times. If that's the burden of proof you want then let's roll with Trump hasn't done anything wrong he hasn't been convicted of anything. But I'm sure you're smart enough to know Clinton was wrong here. But politics.nice to know we don’t need investigations. we just have you.
I’m not talking about Trump. Clinton did something wrong and she was investigated for it. Kushner did something wrong and he should be investigated for it. If someone illegally bypassed security clearances they should be investigated for it. I’m for the rule of law and due process. We've hashed this over and over 100 times. Trump can bypass the process to give Kushner a clearance. Kushner, however, cannot do whatever he wants with classified information. The issue isn't that Kushner has a clearance. It's what he's doing with the information.I’m not talking about Trump. Clinton did something wrong and she was investigated for it. Kushner did something wrong and he should be investigated for it. I hope you remember my work in the Clinton thread as you read my comments. It's both of these. A larger problem here is that Trump can bypass this stuff. Our laws around security are antiquated at best and it's terrifying that the politicians in DC aren't more up to speed on technology. It's mind blowing really. Whatever happens with that information now lays at the feet of Trump just like, should it have happened with Clinton, the feet at Clinton if/when any national security secrets be exposed by her carelessness. The issue isn't that Kushner has a clearance. It's what he's doing with the information.
Impeach her ###.But I'm sure you're smart enough to know Clinton was wrong here. But politics.
Yaknow Wreck, I think with the arrest of the Chinese National caught essentially spying on Trump’s private property where iirc he has spent a quarter of his presidency, we are past the usual D/R political bs.Ramblin Wreck said:That investigation was a joke. Once again Hilary is not President. Yes, she was irresponsible with her private server. But once again, she is not President.Ramblin Wreck said:Stopped here because I couldn't stop laughing. Stuff was happening when she was a high ranking government official running for President with many of you voting for her despite her "carelessness". Many of you here downplayed the issue back then and still do. But now it happens with Trump and it's scary!!!Once again Hilary is not President. Yes, she was irresponsible with her private server. But once again, she is not President.
And Trump is. This story about the Chinese Woman at Mar-a-Logo is scary. Major National Security issues.
And you can keep saying "But the emails...This is happening now."
4 cell phones, a laptop, and a thumb drive with malware. Lying about why she was there too. What was this women up to?>>Cleared through that checkpoint after another Mar-a-Lago employee said she may be related to a member with the same surname.. <<
Actual Southern White House.
And two Chinese passports. I'll go with spying.4 cell phones, a laptop, and a thumb drive with malware. Lying about why she was there too. What was this women up to?
If she's a spy she seems to be a dumb one.And two Chinese passports. I'll go with spying.
And the Secret Service, unlike at the White House, does not keep visitor logs at Maralago. This was caught by the front desk receptionist.
Welcome to the Trump administration. - Actually I think you're right she is dumb, there have probably been a number of 'smart' ones who don't get caught. This one actually got picked up by a valet who asked her where he could take her. How dumb (read: corrupt) does an administration have to be to even permit this environment? If she's a spy she seems to be a dumb one.
Not sure corrupt is the right word. Sounds to me like they just need better security. A definite loop hole if I ever saw one.Welcome to the Trump administration. - Actually I think you're right she is dumb, there have probably been a number of 'smart' ones who don't get caught. Good point. Does anyone here have a guess what she was trying to accomplish?I'm guessing this is one of the many reasons past presidents have used and/or been encouraged to use Camp David as a vacation retreat.
I agree. Not sure corrupt is the right word. Sounds to me like they just need better security. A definite loop hole if I ever saw one.
Malware usually means hacking or eavesdropping.Good point. Does anyone here have a guess what she was trying to accomplish?
Great people, the best.In an exclusive interview with NBC News, Tricia Newbold said her supervisor moved files to a shelf beyond her reach after she complained about the decision to grant security clearances over the objections of senior staffers.
"It was definitely humiliating," said Newbold, a manager in the White House’s Personnel Security Office, who has a rare form of dwarfism. "... But it didn’t stop me from doing what was right."
Yeah...on this issue. Plenty of corruption elsewhere.I agree.
Incompetent is the right word. Earth-shatteringly incompetent.
MUSTWow...actual security breaches.....never happened before!!
I know...I know...but this is Trump!! It is ten times worser than ever!
Why do these conversations always have to be a left vs right pissing match? Can't we just discuss what actually happened and the repercussions of what could have happened, or what was suppose to happen? It gets so tiring in this forum when one side is always jabbing at the other. It takes away from the real discussion as to what this woman was up to.MUST

I agree. Whichever side it's coming from it's always coming. You can bank on it.Ask the one who couldn't discuss the current topic and went to discuss Obama.
I'm thinking maybe you meant to quote the guy bringing up Obama. Why do these conversations always have to be a left vs right pissing match? I agree, but trust me, there is plenty of that from both sides up and down. I just wanted to discuss what this woman did, what she was up to, and what could have happened if she had succeeded, without left vs right arguments all the time. It's tiring.I'm thinking maybe you meant to quote the guy bringing up Obama.
True but responding to it with a bunch of nonsense doesn't help eitherAsk the one who couldn't discuss the current topic and went to discuss Obama.

FBI is investigating Mar-a-Lago incident for the possibility that it was part of an espionage effort, a US official tells @evanperez. The investigation is still being led by Secret Service

Isn't the Salahi situation occurring every time Trump goes to Maralago - which is roughly a quarter of his presidency? Except it happens every day, with no visitor logs, and hundreds and hundreds of times, for every person who attends Maralago while the president is there?November 2009: A Washington couple, Tareq and Michaele Salahi, crash Obama’s first state dinner. The Secret Service later acknowledges that officers never checked whether they were on the guest list. A photo emerges showing that they shook hands with the president. Sullivan, the director, says that he is “deeply concerned and embarrassed” by the breach. The Salahis parlay their fame into an undistinguished career in reality TV.
