Cassel is a hated man and it wont take long before they realize Brady Quinn stinks. I dont expect instant success but dynasty owners should buy now before he's named the starter. Chiefs go 1-6 or 2-10 Stanzi starts with little to no pressure besides ensuring up his spot as the opening day starter in 2013. I don't have time yet to state why I like Stanzi from a football prospective but I do see the opportunity coming.

Quinn threw an impressive ball on his few attempts in relief....looked really good....nice zip and accuracy.....on hs first pass attempt, my whole family was like "wow"....granted it was in comparison to what Cassel was doing, but quite honestly I could see a scenerio where he gets an opportunity this week and holds on to it for the rest of the year....I know it's popular in these parts to bash on Quinn....but I wouldn't count him out as a factor quite yet.....Stanzi is not very good IMO .....

We'll see but my guess is Quinn plays more like the 1st round pick he was than the loser he's been so far.

Stanzi is HORRIBLE. Not gonna happen unless Quinn totaly flames and he throws a better ball than Cassel so we'll see how it goes. He can hit receivers in stride and doesn't throw rainbows on intermediate routes.

Stanzi seems more similar to me to the third stringer the Bears had last year (name is escaping me) who came in and stunk it up. I will admit I have not seen a lot of Stanzi since coming to the NFL but from what I have seen I think he is lacking in the physical tools to be a successful NFL QB. I would much rather take a chance on Quinn who maybe has matured and learned the game and physically has NFL skills.

Feel free to buy and hold Stanzi but I'm not seeing any long term success for him.

221/345 64.1% 3004yds 25td/6int his last year at Iowa. And he's 6'4 230. Why the hate?

I just checked and Waldmen had him ranked 8th in last years class and labeled him a upside pick that was the best passer from the pocket. Questioned his zip, I don't care about zip if your completing a high percentage. He could bust too but I know for sure Quinn sucks.

Been quite a few moderate to very sucessful QBs who flamed out with their first team. Maybe that isn't Quinn - maybe he is Joe Harrington/David Carr/Matt Leinhart (I suspect he is), but I don't see Stanzi getting enough reps or game experience to warrant the job in 2013. I thought his arm was pedestrian in college.

And Brady Quinn ####s the bed... Seems pretty logical to give Stanzi two weeks to prepare for his first start. Wouldn't hurt

As a Hawkeye fan, I found Stanzi to be somewhat frustrating. At times, he looked poised and made solid reads. Other times, he forced incredibly bad throws that were total head-scratchers. The good outweighed the bad though, for sure. Admittedly, Stanzi has the most pro potential of any Iowa QB in quite some time, but that isn't necessarily saying too much. His size and measurables pass the NFL test and his arm is decent. I'd like to see him get a shot with KC.ETA: Stanzi definitely had a nice collegiate career at Iowa. I'd be happy to have a Stanzi clone make his way to Iowa here soon.
