I think I broke his ####in' neck!Gigantic dude. Loved him in The Longest Yard.
oh, you can count. Good for you...That's 2 thus far Mr McGavin
Offered the role of Darth Vader, but turned it down in favor of playing Jaws. He preferred Jaws because he felt he could bring more to the role, where Vader would have confined his performance by acting behind a mask.
Your butt is at half squat this morning?Rip the character that got me into Bond movies. I'm going to watch the spot who loved me and moonraker today out of respect. Him wearing those teeth was quite challenging he could only keep them in thirty minutes at a time.
M.C. GaineyWasn't he the naked guy running down the street in Sideways? After the guy from Wings went back for his wallet? Eh, maybe not. I loved him in The Spy Who Loved Me. Especially the Egypt van lifting part.
Here's the photo:A little-known screen legend has passed...RICHARD KIEL.
He might go unnoticed to many of you, unless you remember JAWS from the James Bond movies. Richard Kiel played that menacing character in two of those films. I had the distinct pleasure to meet him when he volunteered to be a celebrity host at a Big Brothers golf tournament I helped organize at the Diablo Country Club in Danville CA in the late 90's. Although he was a towering 7'2", he was a gentle, sweet soul. Notice how large his hands are as we faked an arm wrestle for the photo. Rest in Peace, Richard!
Richard Dawson Kiel (September 13, 1939 – September 10, 2014) was an American actor known for his role of the steel-toothed Jaws in the James Bond movies The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and Moonraker (1979) as well as the video game Everything or Nothing; he also had cameos in many other James Bond video games. He was also known for roles in The Longest Yard (1974), Force 10 from Navarone (1978), Pale Rider (1985), and as Mr. Larson in the 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore. In television he appeared as the Kanamit aliens in the classic The Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man" and as Dr. Miguelito Loveless' assistant, Voltaire, in first-season episodes of The Wild, Wild West (1965-1966).
Yep, made me wonder if it's a shirt he always wore and Happy Gilmore producers let him roll with it, or if Happy Gilmore was the first time he wore it and then he stuck with it.By the way, just noticed the T-shirt Kiel was wearing. AWESOME
