RIP Ultimate Warrior (1 Viewer)

Just passed away.

Only memory of wrestling I have as a kid was him

Was just inducted to the HOF and was on Raw last nite

Crazy

Both his hof and promo last night on RAW are clear goodbyes, imo.

Looking back it's weird how I thought nothing of it - and now it's sl clear

Wish he would have come out with the paint on his face at Wrestlemania.

Bret Hart looked like he aged 10 years as well.

One of the best. Unbelievable, especially considering his speech on Raw.
"Every man's heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe a final breath. And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others, and makes them bleed deeper and something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized. By the storytellers, by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honor him."

- From Ultimate Warrior's last promo on Raw this past Monday

I watched some YouTube's a while back of him trashing Hogan. It's funny how these guys are always cutting a promo when the camera is on them. I think I watched his documentary too which is alright.

RIP Ultimate Warrior. You can now return to Places Unknown.

Am I thinking of someone else, or didn't the internet used to always be filled with fake reports of his death? I feel like I should wait to make sure he really died before I get fooled again. If he is dead, RIP UW. :(

Hated when he beat Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania VI.
Him winning that match was one of those moments you sort of knew was coming, but was still absolutely shocking when it happened, if for no other reason than for the fact that Hogan never lost cleanly back then.

I always loved the simplicity of his leg drop finishing move
Also loved that he always brought a snake to the ring, while accompanied by the lovely Miss Elizabeth who would distract ref so Warrior could hit his opponent with the guitar and then ask for a 5 count.

From the Jesus Christ twitter account last night:

Jesus Christ@Jesus_M_Christ 10h
Some crazy mofo in face paint and arm bands just crashed through the Pearly Gates and power-slammed St. Peter. Badass.

:lmao:

And a bit ago:

Macho Man just sneak attacked Ultimate Warrior with a steel chair in the breakfast buffet line. Total ##### move, in my opinion. #RIPWarrior

I was on team Hulkster but yeah, you knew it was coming. It was both sad and exciting when it happened.

As to him being dead previously, the only thing I remember is the "paul is dead" like stuff they had back in the day when it was rumored the original Ultimate Warrior had died and was replaced by a lookalike.

RIP for real this time. :sadbanana:

I don't know why anyone wants to be a wrestler these days. They're all keeling over or going completely bonkers at about age 50.

If you watch the matches he had with Rude at SummerSlam '90 and Savage at Wrestlemania 7, it's a testament to how great those guys were in the ring that they were able to get matches that awesome out of the Warrior. Many remember the Hogan match the most, and that match was good for what it was, but those other two were by far his best matches ever.

Nothing wrong with being a pro wrestler on the indy circuit. It's actually a lot of fun. But, yeah, going to WWE is pretty much a death sentence. For every Hulk Hogan, there's a a hundred Von Erichs.
