Does anybody looked at the game. Was he injured or just ineffective? What heppened to him? Was it lack of opportunity?Any information will be appricieted.
The Lions offensive line was excellent in pass protection and the Colts never came close to a sack. The play calling was excellent and kept the Colts off-balance. Mathis and Freeney were invisible for the entire game. I have to give the Lions a lot of credit, especially Backus. He played Freeney one on one for most of the game and rendered him useless. As someone who has watched the Lions play this year, I am shocked. Their pass protection has been terrible all year. They had allowed the most sacks in the NFL prior to this game...and the Colts, a team with arguably the best tandem of pass rushers in the league, never got close to getting a sack.If you are looking for an explanation, good luck. I don't think anyone could have seen this coming.
