Roddy White - Well, looks like he has screwed us all (1 Viewer)

He strikes me as a player that as soon as his physical tools begin to erode the end will come quickly. Not really a guy who can prolong his career using his knowledge of the game. You got some insight into what kind of player he is on hard Knocks. Cares more about clowning around than winning. Maybe a year tops as a role player and take care. Syeve Smith he is not.

I really don't know why I roster him in my dynasty league. I thought he'd pick up some of the slack for Gonzo but he appears to be in a tailspin.

Wow, some of you guys are having the same thoughts as me. Right now I have Travis Kelce, subject to the Andy Reid school of "ignore your best weapon not named Jamaal Charles & force feed other TE's like Fasano," in over Roddy @ flex. Sad that I'd rather use a TE that only sees the field for 50-60% of snaps. This is the first time I've owned Roddy since 2010 (115 recep/almost 1400 yds), and I thought I got him fairly cheap on draft day. Ugh.

Roddy White - WR - Falcons

Roddy White admits he's gotten off to a "really slow start," and that he's "got to turn my game around."

"Not one of my favorable years that I'm having," White said. "I've got to get back to just being myself go out there and just cut it loose and whatever happens, happens." White is one of the league's more candid players, and his assessment of his play is absolutely correct. White has an impressive pedigree to fall back on, but is increasingly prone to nicks and bruises. Until proven otherwise, he's a low-end WR2 who could fall to WR3 status.

White is playing like a player who is going to be retiring soon. He needs to show he belongs in the league let alone being a good player.

I should have yanked him against the Giants when he predicted he would score. WTF is that? Too bad, Roddy has won folks a bunch of games but those days look to be long gone.

IMO he is playing hurt. Watch every Falcon game- he is playing as a decoy for the most part due to WR injuries like Douglas....

I switch between Roddy and Fitz as my WR3 and always seem to choose the wrong one to start each week.

Wasn't expecting last weeks production vs. the Ravens D. Was last week a fluke or can White be a useful player again?

I'm starting him (after being on my bench last week) only because Beckham is on BYE (and I just can't get myself of to start Dwayne Bowe barring emergency). I'm counting on Roddy to put up a 4/45 type of game.

Yeah my options this week are Roddy, Hawkins, Andre Holmes, Harvin, and Allen Robinson. I pretty much have to start him..

Do you ever look at your roster and wonder how the #### you ender up with these turds?

In a dynasty league where I only have to start 1 RB I somehow ended up with this bunch on my team: Sankey, Khiry Robinson, Oliver, J. Stewart, Pierce, Ivory, J. Hill, and Herron (AP on IR).

Really sad part is I'm forced to start 3 of them every week.

Roddy's been solid the last three weeks.

Still have to put him on the bench for Antonio Brown, ODB and Mike Evans.

Couldn't anything trade-worthy for him.

Rotoworld:

Falcons coach Mike Smith said Friday he is "confident" Roddy White (ankle, questionable) will play Sunday against the Cardinals despite missing every practice session this week.

It does look like White will be out there against the Cardinals, but in the past Roddy has cautioned against starting him in fantasy leagues when he's unable to practice. "He did work with our (athletic performance) people today and got good reports on where he was in terms of moving around," said Smith. "I feel confident, still, that he'll play on Sunday." Fantasy owners have a tough decision to make. The matchup won't be easy for White against red-hot LCB Patrick Peterson, and especially not if Roddy is short of full health.

Rotoworld:

FOX's Jay Glazer confirms that Roddy White (ankle) remains a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Here is a tweet from Roddy in September of last year: "As far as fantasy if I don't participate in practice than don't start me it's a red flag." He did not practice at all this week. Glazer says White will try to convince coaches to let him play by going through a pregame warmup, but it's a very shaky situation. Even if Roddy guts it out, he'll likely be limited and we've seen the Falcons use him as a decoy before. It's also an extremely difficult matchup against Antonio Cromartie and Patrick Peterson. Harry Douglas is White's backup.

ESPN Falcons reporter Vaughn McClure reports Roddy White (ankle) will not play Sunday against the Cardinals.
The Falcons' inactives will be posted in under an hour. If Roddy indeed does not play, look for Julio Jones to hog targets, and Harry Douglas to get the start in White's place.
