Roethlisberger Accused of Sexual Assault Again (1 Viewer)

A couple of years ago I heard from a woman who said that Roethlisberger blew off a Make-A-Wish kid. When KDKA-TVs News Director, John Verrilli, was shown the email, he made it clear that it was a story that his news department would not be pursuing. I eventually got in contact with the parents of the little girl who the jackass snubbed. They said the story was true but they didn’t want to go public with it for their daughter’s sake. The little girl had cystic fibrosis.
http://justwatchthegame.com/blog/just-watch-the-game-blogI know this thread is for the investigation and not about piling on about how much Roethlisberger sucks as a person, but man, does he ever suck as a person. That doesn't warrant a new thread, I'm sure, but these anecdotes coming out about him are ticking me off.
Wow. Stiegerwald is a guy that would I believe is telling the truth.
I don't know who the blogger is but it is of note that he is "publishing a book." If his story had merit I think the news station would have covered it. In any case, it is innuendo and rumor mongering. It could turn out to be true but at this point it lowers the reliability of this source IMO. Why did he wait until Ben is accused of this crime to go public with his own accusation? Why didn't he blog about it at the time?

 Blowing off a Make-A-Wish kid isn't being a bad citizen?
Famous people don't owe anything to anybody else, but it takes a special kind of scumbag to be so oblivious as to how everyone else was living in the real world and buy into their own B.S. and truly believe they so far above the common man that it's acceptable for them to act like that. I don't know. You can't expect stars to do everything asked of them, but there are obviously some men and women who do what they can, which is more than can be said for B.R.

I don't know Stiegerwald but I put little stock in his piece. He just came off sounding bitter and I thought his article sounded like something a High School girl would write. If you are going to accuse someone of being on drugs or being a bad citizen than you should provide exact examples or shut your pie hole.

Specifically how? In what way did he blow off the make -a-wish kid? Were are the details? Why do you infer Ben might have been high on something other than alcohol and yet provide not type of reason?

KDKA is the local CBS affiliate and I think they tread pretty lightly when it comes to Steeler players. Exposing something like this could potentially damage the relationship and lead to less access and cooperation. I could see a news director deciding not to pursue that lead.Stiegerwald has long been a guy who speaks his mind and doesn't worry about being PC. I don't think his motivation has much to do with the fact that he's writing a book.

And this was his first blog entry. Although he has been writing a column for quite some time. I would guess if you could go back and look at an archive of his columns you'd probably see him being critical of Ben before now.

OK, this is beyond ridiculous at this point. Now people are arguing over whether he did something to someone at a Make-A-Wish, arguing for arguing sake.

If someone wants to start a thread up that discusses this without people acting as though they have ANY CLUE about what's really going on, more power to you.
