Roy Williams comment last night on NFLN by the hosts (1 Viewer)

I've never been a big fan of Roy Williams, but I think it was a good trade for them to make at the time. The bust rate of 1st round picks is quite high and they will need a lead WR for whenever TO leaves. Draft picks are a bit overrated.
in the cap era, draft picks are waaaay overrated.Dtika was way ahead of the curve on this one, but he got blasted for it. If he could have gotten a good QB in that era, they would have been a solid team.
Hold on now. Ditka has never been ahead of any curve. The only reason it wasn't a horrible horrible move is b/c Ditka was completely incapable of making a good draft pick. So even if he had kept his whole draft, it would have resulted in 0 NFL caliber players.

Roy has not been a game changer in the NFL. In 5 years in the NFL, he has one 1,000 yard season and he needed a Mike Martz offense to get that. Fantasy people still act like he's only been in the league a year or two. Expectations are way too high for him to suddenly become a playmaker.

Roy Williams pretty much is a bust 1st rd draft pick

Correct, but not for Detroit, that honor has been passed to Dallas.

We aren't going to know until at LEAST next year exactly how well Roy Williams will work out in Dallas. He can't be expected to just jump into the system and have amazing chemistry with Romo, who was also injured for the first few weeks that Roy was even in Dallas. Romo coming back from an injury, not 100% healthy, and he is going to lean on the players that he knows.
All of Roy Williams defenders are leaning on this argument. It does have some merit, but honestly its amazing just how brutal Roy has been this year. He's been in eight games, starting seven, and these are his numbers:17/194/1Thats a per game average of:2.1 catches, 24.25 yards and .125 TDs. Brutal. Even with the new system etc, you'd expect somewhere along the way a guy that's supposed to have this much talent would actually make a play.

Either Marshall Faulk or Deion Sanders last night said that the Roy Williams trade was a waste and Dallas got hosed. He said "Williams is no better than Patrick Crayton"...what do you think about the comment and does it change your opinion of Roy Williams or not?
Faulk or Sanders said something stupid?? No way!Lions put one over on Cowboys and he should be doing more than he is (which is almost nothing) but Williams is better than the way overrated and typically invisible Crayton. as some have said let's see what happens next year.
Donte Stallworth did well for the Eagles. That was a trade.
