about the fact that Brad "Dink and Dunk" Johnson is now your QB for the next 4 gamesAs much attention as TO has been getting from opposing secondaries, this may be a good move for Owens. Cardinals pretty much ignored all receivers other than TO on Sunday.fixed.TO/Witten Owners =![]()

That's a given.
Yep, it's on the first page.Easy Ed Werder says 2009 #2 and 2010 #2
I like this logic. TO already has chemistry established his QB, I don't see him losing Romo's eye once he comes back. He'll still be a top 5 FF WR.As much attention as TO has been getting from opposing secondaries, this may be a good move for Owens. who in detroit isn't a chronic under achieverRoy is a chronic underachiever, but I still think Dallas made out okay. They got another viable starting WR and a potential heir to TO's throne whenever he breaks down. This was also a good move by the Lions. Roy wasn't going to be a difference maker for them and they need all the ammunition they can get for their rebuilding project.
A STEAL for the lions and the boys overpay for a player they didnt need.NFL Network reporting a 1st, 3rd and a 6th round pick.
No doubt. I've been leery of his sorry inconsistent production but I needed him this week with a few guys on bye and a good matchup. Unless they traded him to the Lions he's worthless.Crayton Owners =![]()
Roy was pretty much non existent in Detroit. I can see this being the case (ala Housh and CJ last year) but Roy has been pretty much a non factor.I own T.O. and Calvin and i'm much more worried about the impact on Megatron than T.O. T.O. should be released and set free now, but Calvin will face massive coverage.Excellent chance the Lions go winless.

That's my initial reaction too. Wow.A STEAL for the lions and the boys overpay for a pick they don't need.NFL Network reporting a 1st, 3rd and a 6th round pick.
That's a lot. Nice compensation for the Lions.NFL Network reporting a 1st, 3rd and a 6th round pick.
Kinda what I was thinking....okay. Where does this point his value? He a 8 for 70 yards kinda guy or more of a 3 for 70yds kinda guy?Shaun McDonald benefits...
I remembered reading earlier this season that McDonald was the de facto WR3 on the team but that if either starter went down with injury it'd be Furrey that would stand to gain the most as they'd prefer to keep McDonald in that WR3/slot position. I'll see if I can find it.Who is the pickup in Detroit?WR: Calvin Johnson (inj), Roy Williams, Shaun McDonald (PR), Mike Furrey, Brandon Middleton (KR), Reggie Ball (IR)MIke Furrey or Shaun McDonald?

Which is it?NFL Network reporting a 1st, 3rd and a 6th round pick.
Considering they have been rying to get this guy sense April this is not a move of desperation. That would have been if they tried to get a QB. This is a good day for Dallas lose Pacamn who they really do not need and get the wr they need very bad. Lets see that triple on Owens now mother f'erThe stink of panic is entering my nostrils.
If this is correct, Jerry Jones is well on his way to becoming the George Steinbrenner of the NFL. Considering that the "mortgage the future to acquire marquee superstars" model didn't work in MLB, I can't imagine this will end well for the Cowboys in a league with a salary cap.If you want to trade a 1, 3 and 6, why not get a quality corner to replace the giant void left by Pac-Man and Terence Newman?Shefter just stated it was a 1st 3rd and 6th
He was still a prescence though, and a guy who could do SOMETHING.Roy was pretty much non existent in Detroit. I can see this being the case (ala Housh and CJ last year) but Roy has been pretty much a non factor.I own T.O. and Calvin and i'm much more worried about the impact on Megatron than T.O. Dallas owner = guppyThis trade is so lopsided for the Lions, if it was a fantasy trade there would be threads questioning if it's collusion.

I can see the thread already: "This trade just went down in my league. Should I veto?!" OP's Username="RogerGoodell"ouchTJ Housh is going to be the highest paid WR ever, as he will be the only WR available in FA this year. The Cowboys on Tuesday acquired UT-ex Roy Williams from Detroit for first-, third- and sixth-round picks in 2009 while the Lions will kick back their seventh-rounder in 2009, according to a source. The deal took place moments before the 3 p.m. trade deadline.

The Dallas Cowboys are close to a deal to acquire wide receiver Roy Williams from the Detroit Lions, a source told ESPN.com Tuesday. The trade would involve multiple draft picks but would not involve the Cowboys' first-round pick.
The Cowboys are also trying to negotitate a long-term deal with Williams before completing the deal. Williams has expressed unhappiness playing for the winless Lions and can become a free agent after the season unless the team places the franchise tag on him.
Assuming the Cowboys finished as the lowest ranked playoff team and picked 24th, they gave up the equivalent of ~1.18 according to the NFL pick value chart. If they finish better than that, the value is lower, and worse-higher.That's a lot. Nice compensation for the Lions.NFL Network reporting a 1st, 3rd and a 6th round pick.
ESPN SAID TWO #2 THIS YEAR AND NEXT tHEY JUST GOT A 5TH AND 6TH FROM tENN BECAUSE OF THE pACMAN SUSPENSION YES.Just have to hal on for the next 3 weeks and get Newman and Romo back then it is on
Calm down kid.
