Oh I know Ditka, Payton may have a thousand flaws but he'll never be *that*.This is how Ditka stayed in the league for years too.

Based on this game, he will match his career totals in one game.
There is always a chance that Bellichik pulls him after 5 minutes when the Patriots are up 700-3
Play action with AP makes sense but not if you only do it to have him as the receiver.terrible play - no choices once the primary was covered
7-9 x3. Just saying.Oh I know Ditka, Payton may have a thousands flaws but he'll never be *that*.

So true....but to be fair, Theo Epstein's ghost can GM the Cubs for the next hundred yearsTim Hightower is back on the market, I think. Maybe they could muddle the RB position even further...So Ingram is just not a part of this offense
If the entire season resembles the first week she's gonna need to buy you the whole liquor store.Lol on the positive side my wife just went and got me some beer because she felt bad for me watching the Saints.
Roll a keg into the man cave and hook up an IV line.If the entire season resembles the first week she's gonna need to buy you the whole liquor store.
Yup. Just go straight for the 80 proof! If the entire season resembles the first week she's gonna need to buy you the whole liquor store.
It's like being married to a woman that took care of you during a long illness....she may be a big #####, but she's that ##### that could have bailed when things were tough. You never forget something like that. No offense to Jimmy Johnson, I'm leaving with the girl that brought me to the danceIt's thinking like that that allows some teams to do something one time and others to keep repeating it. You'll see the difference next week when the Saints play the Patriots. One team did something once and is resting on their laurels. The other just keeps making the necessary changes and keeps winning.
I don't mean that to sound harsh towards Saints fans. I get it. But I grew up as a Bears fan and suffered through that "did it once" mentality with Ditka and I look back at it now and think it was squander. That team with that talent could have won another one or two but they did things one time and thought that was good enough and they just let everyone pass them by. And in the end it was almost a joke. It lessened what Ditka and all those players did do, somehow.
I would just like to see Brees be legit factors again and I just don't think the way Peyton is doing it, they ever will.

Real question for Vikings fans, is AP really this big of a selfish tool? He is not winning any ML Carr awards tonight.APs gonna get himself cut. Im sure you wanna hear complaining from your third string RB.
Not right now, but ride it out.Mark Ingram isn't startable anymore.
Yes. He's been a petulant putz for years.Real question for Vikings fans, is AP really this big of a selfish tool? He is not winning any ML Carr awards tonight.
It would be a huge plus for the Saints. Guy will never accept being a roll player and they are wasting Ingram.APs gonna get himself cut. Im sure you wanna hear complaining from your third string RB.
What a sad end. He seems to be a jerk and a bad guy, but he's also one of the greatest running backs the NFL has ever seen. Awful way to end his career. It would be a huge plus for the Saints. Guy will never accept being a roll player and they are wasting Ingram.
He's used to being the centerpiece of the offense and now he's a shell of his former self against his old team.Real question for Vikings fans, is AP really this big of a selfish tool? He is not winning any ML Carr awards tonight.
Ride what out, Payton's tenure? Not right now, but ride it out.Mark Ingram isn't startable anymore.

I love this GB.This is the way the world ends

Not with a bang but a whimper.
Exactly. There is no coach in NFL history that could take this dumpster fire of "talent" to the playoffs. Over his career Payton has managed to make chicken salad out of what the GMs have given him. The dude can only work so many miracles. It's just so funny to see opinion change this drastically. Just a few years ago Sean Payton was regarded as a genius coach, one of the very best in the NFL. I never really bought into that. Now per this thread he's regarded as one of the worst coaches in the NFL. I don't buy into that either. He's OK.
Too many concussions from putting on the headset. He has totally lost any ability to coach. It's just so funny to see opinion change this drastically.   Ingram goes through this every year, eventually gets his.Ride what out, Payton's tenure?
Yes. OMFG yes. For years it was ok cause he was talented. Then he wasn't.Real question for Vikings fans, is AP really this big of a selfish tool? He is not winning any ML Carr awards tonight.
He's getting his right now in trash time.Ingram goes through this every year, eventually gets his.
The only team in the league who could have Ingram, look at how great he was last season, and say 'we need to build around another guy'Seems like the Saints want Kamara to be the lead of the committee
When did Payton tell him to sit on the pine? After the 18 yard catch? In the 1st Q?Ingram goes through this every year, eventually gets his.
You sound like a recent Ingram owner. Last year was the first year he really "got his", and even then Payton kept him from getting a heck of a lot more.Ingram goes through this every year, eventually gets his.
Their relationship is an odd one for sure. Let the man play. When did Payton tell him to sit on the pine? After the 18 yard catch? In the 1st Q?
