Same draft spot in multiple redrafts (1 Viewer)

I just drew the same draft spot in both my redrafts (#3). This got me thinking: what's the shark move? Stick with you sheet and end up with probably 80-90% the same starters, or hedge your bet and mix it up? Hedging your bet is always the smart thing to do when gambling. Make no mistake about it, fatnasy football is gambling. BUT, mixing it up for the sake of mixing it up can lead to some bad picks.

Thoughts?

I have found that the draft itself takes care of my roster. You might get a couple of the same core players, but assuming there are not a bunch of guys that are in both leagues, it will be easy to have a roster with significant difference even with the same spot, similar rules, etc.

having a significant share of your roster the same between FFB teams makes roster management much easier...but perhaps not as much fun.

I've done many mock drafts from different spots and rarely end up with more than a couple of the same guys, let alone starters. Sure, you'll probably choose between Rice and MJD both times, maybe you prefer one. After that I'm guessing that unless your sheet varies widely from the consensus, you won't have many repeats. But, you could try different strategies if you like. the 1.03 will almost certainly be a RB unless you're trying to be cute, but there's no reason you couldn't take a QB in round 2 if decent value presents itself, or WR, or RB2, TE, etc.

It depends on the amount of risk you're willing to put up with. Concentrating on the same players means high risk but high reward. Do you buy individual stocks or index mutual funds? You're also likely to gravitate towards the same favorite sleeper picks in the later rounds so maybe mixing up the earlier rounds isn't such a bad idea. Going MJD/Roddy in the first league is probably incurring as much risk as Rice/Calvin so why not mix it up a little?

I would try to get many of the same picks. I know there is luck involved, but you should trust what your own opinions are about players and not play games.
