I've done many mock drafts from different spots and rarely end up with more than a couple of the same guys, let alone starters. Sure, you'll probably choose between Rice and MJD both times, maybe you prefer one. After that I'm guessing that unless your sheet varies widely from the consensus, you won't have many repeats.But, you could try different strategies if you like. the 1.03 will almost certainly be a RB unless you're trying to be cute, but there's no reason you couldn't take a QB in round 2 if decent value presents itself, or WR, or RB2, TE, etc.
It depends on the amount of risk you're willing to put up with. Concentrating on the same players means high risk but high reward. Do you buy individual stocks or index mutual funds?You're also likely to gravitate towards the same favorite sleeper picks in the later rounds so maybe mixing up the earlier rounds isn't such a bad idea. Going MJD/Roddy in the first league is probably incurring as much risk as Rice/Calvin so why not mix it up a little?
