My wife and I will have been married for 25 years this July. Unfortunately, she is disabled and has been for the past 19 years. She is in severe pain constantly, and she is very restricted on mobility. Usually if we leave the house, she requires a wheelchair. Travel is very challenging, although we do go back to the East coast periodically (when she can do it) for her to get treatments.
Assuming we are constrained to no travel outside of driving range, I'm soliciting ideas for a special anniversary for her. She likes Celine Dion a lot, so I thought about a weekend in Vegas to see her show, but she isn't playing during the right timeframe. Given my wife's challenges, I don't know how much she could enjoy Vegas in general. So for now I have ruled that out.
Ideas could include a spa, or just a nice resort for a long weekend. Or even just recommended dinner spots or activities that she might enjoy. (We moved to San Diego a few years ago, but, given her limitations, we have not experienced much that San Diego has to offer together.) Or even out of the box gift ideas.
Appreciate any recommendations anyone might have.
