San Francisco 49ers @ Carolina Panthers Playoff Thread (1 Viewer)

Had to go play action eventually in short yardage. Should do it next time they are down at the goal line.

Awful plays by Cam. He held the ball too long on 2nd down, knocking them outta FG range. When trailing by 10, a QB has to be smarter than that.

Couple calls went against the Panthers (Boldin's headbutt, 12 men on the field), but they were also morons for continuing all the "antics" (to borrow a word from Rivera) after the refs made it clear they weren't going to put up with it. Mostly though the Panthers' mouths have been writing checks that their play can't cover.

Came in without a rooting interests since either team would be a great game in Seattle next week, but hoping the 9ers destroy them now.

Good game for the Panthers, give Cam some legit weapons and I think they can make the jump. Lafell is a poor excuse for a WR2.

Just seems like it was always going to be San Francisco vs. Seattle. Harbaugh vs. Carroll.

I think Zona would have been able to bump one of those two-teams had they made the playoffs. But yeah, these teams will be good for a while.

Smith isn't really a WR1 either, and Ginn isn't a WR3.

If they get a WR1, make Smith the WR2, and keep Lafell and Ginn for depth, it'll be a huge upgrade to the offense.

They could also use a RB good enough that Cam doesn't have to be half of the running game instead of mixing in Deangelo and Tolbert.

Kuechly in a bear hug right in front of the ref. Crazy officiating in these playoffs thus far.

They've been dominant enough this half to silence the people who WOULD have claimed that the Panthers should have won if the game ended with a close score. Though there is still plenty of time so let's see.
