How likely is it that Deebo is not in SF next season? I am in a keeper league and have a chance to acquire Aiyuk from a team looking to win now. I would be interested in Aiyuk if he is going to be on SF without Deebo in 2025. I also understand Aiyuk suffered a nasty injury that has a long recovery period but I am really trying to understand the Deebo part of the situation. Anyone have any insights on how 2025 might look at WR for SF?
I haven't seen any good reporting on the details of his contract renegotiation that took place before the season. Before that restructure, his contract wasn't guaranteed for next year and he was a logical candidate to be waived. It's unclear if he is now guaranteed so much money that waiving him doesn't generate a lot of cap space.

With P Mitch Wishnowsky dealing with a back injury, the #49ers are adding P Pat O’Donnell to the practice squad for additional depth.
Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Wishnowsky would be monitored as week goes on. Clearly, Niners operating as though he could miss time.

O’Donnell punted with the Chicago Bears from 2015 through 2021. In 2022, he was with the Green Bay Packers. During his career, he averaged 45.1 yards per punt. In 2022, O’Donell’s 44.5-yard average ranked 29th in the league.
I'd rather they sign Pressley Harvin III, he looked really good in preseason when we had him.

Limited - RB Christian McCaffrey (Achilles), WR Chris Conley (hamstring), OL Jon Feliciano (knee)
- Shanahan says there isn’t much concern about Kittle’s availability this week. He’s expecting Kittle to practice in some capacity on Thursday.
- Shanahan said McCaffrey did not have a flare up with the Achilles. He said the limited status is part of the planned maintenance of the issue.
- Bosa is unlikely to practice much at all this week, noting that it "will be close" in terms of being able to play against Seattle. He said last week was the most pain he's played through in a game in his career.

The San Francisco 49ers have announced the following roster moves ahead of Sunday's rematch with the Seattle Seahawks:
- DL Yetur Gross-Matos has been activated from IR (injured reserve)
- P Mitch Wishnowsky has been placed on IR
- P Pat O'Donnell has been promoted to the active roster
- S Tashaun Gipson has been elevated from the team's practice squad (standard elevation)
- CB Nick McCloud has been elevated from the practice squad (standard elevation)
- Placed CB Darrell Luter, Jr. on IR
Yea too bad they sold the future out with these huge contracts for old dead weight and absolutely garbage drafting

I’m good with keeping Brock, he deserves a contract. Wasn’t thrilled with the Aiyuk contract, especially after using the 1st rounder on a WR.
But it’s rebuild mode. I’ll take a season or 2 of sub 500 ball if it also means KS is gone.
How can it be a rebuild?
They have huge money tied up in a handful of guys

Trent prob getting ready to hang it up and CMC is starting to have a lot of tread on those tires. We didn’t close when we had the chances in 2020 or 2024 (or 2022 against LAR. I’ll let 2023 slide since we had no QB, but that’s on them really for not having a competent backup).
It’s over, feels like we’re getting ready to start the Jim Tomisula era all over again. I would’ve forgiven KS for 10 years had he just closed out once, but nope, forget that arrogant smug ****bag.
Strongly disagree. There’s a lot of young talent here still. They need an OT and a couple of young studs on the DL. It’s not inconceivable to even get those guys in the same draft like the Rams did this year.

They lined up and ran the same defense every play of that final drive (without Bosa nonetheless) except once where they brought pressure from the nickel. Add the DC to your list. Secondary had been the weakness for most of the stretch of success, but I don’t think they’re currently the weak link.
I’m not particularly optimistic about it happening. It’s going to require some amazing work from the front office that has been continuously raided for talent over the last five years. But it’s possible. They are in exponentially better shape than they were when Harbaugh left.

It was a tough loss, we get it, doesn't feel anything like the years you all rise up and go to the NFCC and even hold leads in Super Bowls vs the Chiefs
Wrap you say, if any team can shake this off and get hot late, what the hell do y'all care how you crawl into the Playoffs
This team is battle tested and Detroit is sealing up the 1-seed but guess what, you all are one of the few teams that beat them and you did it on their turf did you not?

I just think we've seen his ceiling as HC with this team. He gets close but can't close the deal.
Things I don't like:
He won't hire an OC/play caller because he thinks hes smarter than everyone (and his play calling in crunch time has never been applauded), he refuses to invest in the OL, he oesn't give a rats *** about special teams, is known for blowing 4th quarter leads, won't give players like Cowing a shot (even though we need a deep threat) because he doesn't think he's ready with his blocking or route running? Send him on go routes and see what happens for F sake. It can't hurt.
I wouldn't be surprised if he starts losing the locker room if we keep collecting L's.

Look at the teams that cycle thru recycled **** at Head Coach, look at Dougie P right now and then TLaw can work with his 4th HC before his 5th NFL season
Marino played almost his entire career with Shula and then had to suck it up for 3-4 seasons with Jimmy Johnson but he had consistency when he was young
KS made Purdy, you don't want to bring in a new coach, you'll be wishing for a new QB and Purdy is getting paid A LOT this coming off season or he won't be on the field next year
How far do you want to strip it bare halfway thru a season where you're coming off a 25-22 loss in the Super Bowl, how much liquor we drinking over there , and when can I join you?

If they win 4 of those 7 games they'll be 9-8. I doubt that's good enough to win the division, and no wild card teams will come from the West.

The schedule might be the undoing but rest assured that most teams on that list if you interview them leading up to SF, I don't think they see it the same as we do
at GB and at BUF, they might be lucky to split and go 6-6, Green Bay isn't on all cylinders right now, they should have lost to Chicago today
GB is a questionable 7-3, you all will be a good test for them, vice versa
Bears and Rams, both home games and a TNF special
I'm at 8-6, the fluffy Phins gonna knock you all out, I doubt it
I'm at 9-6 and I'll take the Lions and now I'm ALL IN at Arizona which I predicted weeks ago it would end there
That last game of the season the Playoffs start early for the NFC West, 10-7 w/the winner hosting the Wildcard for the Playoffs
