This needs to get done. Key prob is a few other pass rushers are waiting to sign deals and he wants to see what they get and make sure his contract is tops. He doesn’t want to set the bar, he want to jump right over it, which is understandable.Bosa posted a pic on IG from New York City. His agent has an office in NYC. Please let this be a sign a deal is close.

NFL.com released their 2023 Offense Rankings and look who's at the top
That's right, haters, let it wash over you. The 49ers are listed at #1. Now, we all know rankings are just opinions, but its pretty crazy that a team without a proven QB, and an absolute scrub QB2 (the internet's consensus opinion, not mine) is ranked above teams that have Mahomes, Allen, and Hurts. I don't expect this prediction to come true, but its should be a fun season!!!

No he doesn't. He played one year of division 2 football and the 49ers acted like he should just step right in year two and kill it. They over-drafted him. That's on them. And yes, it does ffffffffffing matter. Huge loss of draft capital and that hurts in the short term and in the long run.
Well we actually don't know. I'm just so f'n sick of the QB crap, I'm glad he's gone and hope he gets a chance somewhere, but let's be honest, he's a multi millionaire for doing absolutely NOTHING in SF. I can't say I feel bad for him. He should have never been drafted high enough to get that kind of rookie contract in the first place.
Again, that's on the 49ers, not Lance. You act like Lance mailed it in like JaMarcus Russell. He didn't. He broke his friggin ankle last year. Part of the perception of Lance being a "bust" is that the 49ers front office lost their friggin mind and traded a boatload of picks to move up to #3 overall and drafted a 20 year old kid with one year of division 2 football and who didn't really fit their system. If he was drafted in the 2nd round where he probably should have gone, he would be a "prospect", not a bust. There was a lot of talk that Shanahan didn't want to draft him. If that's true, it's even more of a clusterfock because that means Lynch/Peters screwed the pooch.

Dude, I don't care enough to argue. Lance is ancient history as far as I'm concerned. Only the future matters.
I dunno, it seems like he’s taking responsibility for making a terrible move. It’s a move that would have cost most GMs their jobs, but he and his staff have nailed enough other things where, miraculously, it looks like they can still field a playoff team with upside. So he can afford to take this one on chin.
They are still missing their best player. It’s about time to hit the panic button on the Bosa situation.

And yet I don't because they're still contenders despite the Lance debacle. If they were an average team because of It, I'd probably feel different.
You’ll find plenty of Lynch criticism from me historically in the Niners threads. At the time of the trade I thought this regime should be fired if it doesn’t work out. But yet, here we are, and SF has been extremely successful regardless. You’d really fire Lynch right now?
Respectfully that’s a pretty insane take. Does he not get credit for finding an above average QB with the last pick in the draft? The Niners will probably have a pretty good QB room next year and will be spending less than 25% of Prescott’s contract on the entire position. They’ve got more blue chip players than any team in the league. Lynch gets credit for those things as well.
I don’t necessarily disagree but the team wins games and that’s how management is evaluated, and properly so.
also, the Watson trade when combined with the contract they gave him was a far more egregious example of GM malpractice just from the last few years.
