Prior to this season, Purdy had only missed 2 games to injury...I doubt he was trying to negotiate that incentive too hard.

Matt Maiocco was asked if Matt Hennessy will remain the starting center once Jake Brendel is healthy:

The 49ers’ run game got off to a very strong start while Brendel was on the field, and he was having a good game. Seems to me as the game went on, the Falcons started stacking the box more trying to stop the run game from gashing them, which might explain the drop in YPC. Hennessey passed the eye test, IMO.

CB Deommodore Lenoir will not practice today because of a quad issue, per Shanahan.

I just don't think there's a huge demand for defensive-minded HCs and if there is, there will probably be guys without the recent track record of failure weighing them down.

HC Kyle Shanahan revealed that QB Brock Purdy will be managing his turf toe all season. 
The team will keep evaluating him week to week, and Shanahan confirmed they won’t rush him back.

DE Bryce Huff and C Jake Brendel will both return from hamstring injuries on Sunday against the Rams. Neither has an injury designation.
Ben Bartch is listed as questionable but Shanahan confirmed he will be activated from IR and, at minimum, be in uniform Sunday.

Can't put any/much pressure on the QB. Unfortunately, tough for the secondary to cover for as long as they have to.
The team is what they are at this point. They will need to put up 35 consistently to win games, which I think they can do against most of the teams left on the schedule. Probably end up 11-6 and make the playoffs. Probably will get bounced in first round, but still a nice accomplishment, all things considered and as a fan, been an entertaining season.
I heard that brisset set the nfl record for most completions in a game.
Something like 57 attempts and the only time I remember the DL even getting close to a sack, he hit a 30+ yard bomb on third and long in the first half.

Eddy Pineiro suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain and is week to week. They'll have a kicker workout Tuesday or Wednesday.

the big question for me is whether the 49ers keep Mac in the offseason or deal him for a mountain of picks/players.
I’d think he’s shown enough that a QB-needy team would be willing to send a nice package for him. Especially since he’s extremely affordable for 2026.
Or will the 49ers be gun shy about dealing him since he saved their season this year? If I’m the 49ers I’m sending him packing.
