Got shivers when I saw tweets from players scrolling across the bottom of NFLN and one from Sherman came up. Figured it would be cringe worthy...

But it said (paraphrased) that he got a classy text fromTrent Williams (the guy he was scuffling with after the game) and there was no ill will from either side after emotional game and good luck in pro bowl.

So at least he's not always a tool on twitter...

My brother just texted me an interesting take on rg3 final injury play....he never made a single attempt at recovering that fumble. Yet walked off the field (and walked around post game, etc). What's up with that??

I wouldn't normally agree with that, but he (according to shanny) is the one who keeps saying not to take him out of game so he can compete. Well, if you're not being taken out on a stretcher them compete, at least TRY to recover that fumble (turn your body on ground, at least look where ball is to see if you can still grab it) so your backup can come in and try to come back.

He sorta gave up, like "well I'm done, so so are we".

I know I'm gonna get flamed for this, but if you watch the reply it looks like he didnt even consider trying to recover that fumble, yet again, a few mins later walks right off field....

Shanny AND rg3 need to realize that while he IS great, they can't win it with just each other. Was like that Fred Taylor fumble where he tore his groin where he just dropped the ball (gave up on play).

The Seahawks dominated the final three quarters. What game did you watch?
He doesn't care what happened. He just wants Seattle to lose. We're getting a lot of that lately. Its understandable.
Yes...they dominated...but it still was close and in question even with RGIII limping around.
Redskins had 71 yards over the final 3 quarters and Hawks should have had at least 10 more points, not close at all after the 1st quarter.

Well...if they should have...then that changes everything. The point remains that it was a close game...despite the other team not having a QB that could stand up much less run or pass effectively.Nice game for the Hawks...but to act as if it was not close is pretty much not paying attention to what actually happened on the field.

I saw a team with a 14 point lead and they never scored again while giving up 24 unanswered points not to mention totally getting out done is yards gained.

Really? I got the impression you were. Just have a lot of Seahawks on you FF teams?
I live in the Sound and love Seattle (the city), but I am a Cowboys fan (there, I said it). I listen to a lot of local radio, including 710 ESPN, and I feel that Seattle sports talk radio is some of the most reasonable around. Plus I love Russell Wilson, having watched a bunch of him at Wisonsin. Having said that, I love RGIII and Luck as well, and was really bummed seeing Griffin go down today.I had Lynch on two teams (3rd round :) and Seattle D on a bunch. Have Wilson in one dynasty league.

This has likely already been said, but how much did that craptacular field have to do with RGIII going down? Horrible.

Thing was torn up at the beginning of the game too, not like it turned to #### in the second half. I don't get it, hasn't been that wet here and actually has been very dry the past few days.

I don't really think it was a ton. The real taxing injury occurred just before the second td....the play where he stopped to cross throw to garçon in td (who dropped it).Didnt look field related, just reaggrevated the prior injury. He then proceeded to gimp around the rest of the game just waiting for the first time he put some lateral pressure on that knee to finish it off. That fumble was just that...an unorthodox bend to get the ball and away she went.Less about field, more about (as doc said) wasn't fully recovered, and his luck finally ran out. He started game off much like Dallas game...not 100%, but couple weeks removed from first aggregation against Balt. Philly game the week prior he only ran twice, that was the one dr Andrews was ####ting bricks on cause he knew it wasn't ready. But both those games he was weeks removed from a fresh aggravation. Today he was In the middle of it (and again, initial aggregation was not field related IMO), and so on bad snap play at end, it was less about field and more about "what the #### are you doing out there???".All that said, Danny boy needs to pony up and get the skins a field like the hawks so he can really use those wheels next year (hoping for rg3 career sake there are wheels to use).

Knuckle, he never aggravated his knee in early part of game and then finished the game this season. He "somehow" (and now, seeing how he did his first aggravation today I'm surprised it took this long, and that doc Andrews was right) made it through Philly (played more pocket passer that game from my understanding, didnt see game) and Dallas (very straight running) games without aggravating the injury that occurred in Baltimore game. Today, not sure if he was trying to push it a little more or what, but he was more hurt post that first tweak (just before second td) than he had been all season (except for maybe the couple plays he ran back in during Baltimore in initial injury). That said, think skins fans may have to get used to this. Between his style and his stubbornness/pride, this unfortunately may not be last time...It's a good thing hawks won. From first tweak today alone he would have been back to Philly game next week and would have gotten smoked by falcons. If matty is gonna redeem himself next weekend I'd like it to be against a mostly full team (though Clemens out is very very bad for this matchup).

I will...anyone with half a brain saw the guy with no burst and an inability to plant and make an accurate throw.Hence many calling for Cousins in the third quarter in this thread.Seahawks win...good for them...but lets not act as if the injury did not play a part in it now.

Do you Packer fans *ever* have no excuse for a Seahawks win?

Dominated my ###. Washington was leading until 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter. We're you watching a rerun of an old game?
He said the final three quarters. The final three quarters where Seattle won 24-0. The final three quarters where Seattle outgained Washington by more than triple the offense output.
I saw a Seahawks team that was held to 10 points up until 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter. You call that dominating? The only reason you scored 24 was NOT because of something the Seahawks did, but because RG3 blew out his knee and dropped the ball. The guy couldn't even get up off the ground to go after the ball he was in so much pain. Otherwise it would have been a "dominating" 17-14 score. "Dominating" teams don't get held to 10 points thru most of the game.I like the Seahawks, I really do. But you fans are beyond ridiculous.

Do you Seahawks fans ever fully read what gets posted. They won...congrats to them...they may have very well beat them if RGIII was healthy. That does not change the FACT...that anyone acting as if the injury did not affect his game does not have a clue about football.

After the first quarter, Seattle outgained Washington 371-62 and held the ball for nearly 32 of the final 45 minutes. Interpret that how you will.

I get that there are some toolish fans, I really do. Every teams has them. If you feel the need to label all Seahawk fans with the same broad brush there's nothing I can do about that.

I had no idea going in that the field was in that bad of shape. I thought they were saying that rain and HS/college use had churned it up pretty good. Not that it was little better than a Phoenix area soccer field (though they don't bother painting it). Three non-contact injuries is pretty disgraceful (Haushka, Clemons and expensive ROY). Seriously, that game alone should be proof that the field is a disaster. Especially if RG3 wasn't just ruined yesterday and the franchise still has their captain. Might want to think about protecting that investment Snyder. Hell, even the other worst field, Heinz Field, is at least soft and grassy. IIRC, the main complaints about it aren't injury related, but performance related.

That said, and this isn't an "I told you so" mattyl, I was very happy to see that Lynch was able to break his running on grass blues (although, does this really count as grass?). 130 and a TD, far above the stats you brought up for his grass performances. I think his running style is suited to handling bad fields, even if he does better on field turf. I wish that the Lynch - Morris battle would've been more spectacular, but once Seattle knew RG3 wouldn't destroy them with his legs, stopping Morris was able to be the priority. Shows though what I had said a few times that both of their success (RG3 and Morris) were intertwined with each other and probably neither would've had as much ground success without the other. And please, no one, don't go into this as a knock on either of them, it's not. They're both outstanding, but it's a team game and very, very rarely are record seasons accomplished without a lot of help. AP may be one of the rare exceptions...

Oh, the disrespect card huh?
I live in the DC area and the local radio got ponderous with all the disrepect talk from Skins fans (about the Hawks being favorite). It was a lot of chest thumping but I'm not sure very many Redskins fans had watched any Seattle games. The week started off with the typical 'we just gotta stop the run and not turn the ball over' game plans and ended up... with callers saying, and this is verbatim, 'We got Rg3.... he's a leader! All they got is a third round midget!'. But the Seahawks -3.5 seemed to be a disrespect rallying cry for the locals. Turns out it was a generous line.

(KFFL)Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks DE Chris Clemons (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament as well as a torn meniscus in the Wild Card playoff game. He was scheduled to meet with Dr. James Andrews Monday, Jan. 7.

That is gonna hurt the pass rush a little next week.
