Blades exonerated after surprise ruling

By Catherine Wilson, Associated Press writer

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Seattle Seahawks receiver Brian Blades sat motionless, only blinking as a judge ended a family nightmare yesterday.

A manslaughter conviction in the shooting death of his cousin was erased. Broward Circuit Judge Susan Lebow in effect ruled the case should never have reached the jury.

Prosecutors simply hadn't proved the NFL star acted recklessly or negligently in a struggle for control of his gun, which fired a fatal shot into the chin of his cousin Charles Blades.

this is interesting though:

Sorry, my bad. Should have remembered that, being a Seahawks homer. Brian went to Miami too though. So my point is still intact.

Killing people is definitely something that Miami players are well trained to do.See: Ray LewisSee also: Bennie Blades
actually, they're only 1 for 3 if you count Taylor's off the field fiasco as trying to kill someone. At least USC is battin 1.000 (2 for 2 by the same guy)but back to the point of the thread, yeah Taylor reminds me a one Ronnie Lott out there...a missle in shoes

An unguided missle who cost his team the game tonight...what an idiot.
