Damn. Prospect values are going up in this league.
I know what I am doing is very risky. I have actually found so far that some owners skyrocket the value of their own prospects and underplay the value of other prospects but I suppose that is pretty typical. It has been harder to pry younger players than I thought it would be. After a few rounds in the draft, I figured that if I drafted to win now then I would sink the chances of all three people to build a respectable team with upside. So now, I am building a team for 2013 and beyond with the awareness that it is very difficult to do. It seemed much more possible than building a team for 2011/12.I am not done yet. So if you are interested in some of my vets in particular (but will move others in the right deal), let me know.

I'm planning to open FCFS free agency on Friday at noon EST. All available players including the ones dropped in the minidraft (CBS permitting) will be subject to the usual add/drop process.

Dropped players after Friday will have a two day waiver period.
Minidraft add/drops are done. Check your rostersFinless gets a freebie if he posts it before Friday noon.

We'll see how many long term prospects remain on people's rosters after real life injuries occur
I'm sure you meant in general, and not necessarily the players in this trade. And I agree for the most part about long-term prospects. But I wouldn't classify any of these guys as long term.Jennings was a top-5 prospect last year and was all set to start 2011 in LF with Crawford's departure. Then the Rays inexplicably signed Johnny Damon. Jennings is still just a Damon slump/injury away from being a regular. I was hoping he would bolster my lack of SBs this year.Rendon will more than likely be the #1 pick in June and will immediately be the #2 3B prospect behind Moustakas (IMHO since the current list of 3B prospects seems fairly weak). I can easily picture him getting called up in 2012, depending on where he lands, with a regular big league job in 2013.Conger could/should be the regular C soon with only Mathis and that other scrub blocking his path. I think he'll be pretty much like Soto, with a high OBP and not a lot of pop to go with it.All that said, I hit 'accept' pretty darn quick. :excited:

Ill trade ya Rasmus and Smoak for A Gonz and something if your intetested. Ackley can be in a package. Send an offer.

So are we adding our waiver claims (from the minidraft) on our own when FCFS opens?
donecheck your rosters
Did you give me Casey Kelly?
Kelly Casey, Casey Candaele, Roberto Kelly, whatever :hifive:I could have sworn I made all the adds but this one and Berserker's pick didn't take for some reason. I'll be happy if I don't have to use the CBS Commissioner tools until next spring.

A couple of BIG offers out. Where is fin btw? Update your trade blocks on cbs and make sure you get email alerts to trade offers and such. :)

Maybe I should have made an offer for Ackley and Smoak
Ackley, Dustin 2B SEA - Traded from pik95Smoak, Justin 1B SEA - Traded from pik95 02/18/11 09:22 pm ET pik95 Gardner, Brett CF NYY - Traded from BoubucarowPennington, Cliff SS OAK - Traded from BoubucarowGardner has a close to 400OBP. He should get close to 100 runs and 40 steals. I need that this year especially after Berserker got A.Gonz plus and didn't give up anything this year. I also like Pennington and his steals and expect a solid year from him. I may even move him for a closer. Boob offered me A.Gonz and Victorino for Smoak, Ackley, and Colby Rasmus and I probably should have took that over this but I love Rasmus and Gardner is like 5 years younger than Victorino anyway. As a Sox fan I wish I got Ellsbury instead but I never really got a chance from Boob before he made that trade. It helps me now which was what I wanted. I still have plenty of young talent like Ianetta and Laporta who I expect big things out of this year. :lmao:And it woulda took you giving Ellsbury and Mike Moose for them.

Wasnt saying it was a bad deal, but I figured you would have asked for more. I wouldnt have done the Ellsbury/Moose deal anyway.

Interested in Ethier
Hes asking alot. Wanted Tulo involved. I can't do that to my squad and Tulo is good in our clubhouse!
I'm not "asking alot", just fair compensation for an upper echelon power OF in his prime. You also forgot to mention I was including the best pitcher in baseball with Ethier in that offer for Tulo. Might not have been the best offer I ever made, but it was in response to what I felt was a low-ball offer on your part. Ackley and T. Beckham for Ethier and McLouth. Considering what you gave Ackley and Smoak for, I can be assured I'm right in that assumption.

Not trying to be dramatic here, but please don't go around painting the picture that I'm being unreasonable.
