Serious Business Dynasty League (1 Viewer)

Watching live scoring and I was in first place for about a minute before Vernon Wells continued his assault on my team's OBP with a flyout.

Just had to brag about it while I can. Might be the only time.
Still need a SP. I have very nice OBP catchers on my bench. I could move one or whatever.
Not looking for a catcher but ive got pitchingCliff Lee - NL Cy YoungWeaver - AL Cy Young Beckett - he's back....trust meBuchholzRomero - AL Cy Young runner upClosersBellK/BB-RodNathanStorenBurnettLet's work something out. Longo on the DL. No more protection. Weak line-up. Still hasn't met that potential.

Threw some offers out there today. Between this league and my others might have put out 15 offers today. Haven't had a reply yet.

I suppose I am in full blown future mode now. Available are Shields, Santana, Braden, and Barnett on the mound. Also, Hafner, Chipper, Izturis, and Willingham in the field. I am probably looking for 2 or 3 for 1 deals for a prospect or young player.

Received Braun and Posey for Hosmer, Harper and Jake Turner. I did good here, right?

And Pik, Freddy Sanchez?

I know that most will think I have given up way too much in a couple of these deals. I have no problem with that and I see that view. If I wasn't offered two of the three best hitting prospects in baseball, I would not have looked at this deal. Posey is tremendous but the shelf life on elite catchers has always been shorter and Braun would be entering his 30's when the rest of my team would be strong enough to hopefully field an functional roster. This year is completely useless to me and next year is probably as well. These players just lose value the longer I keep them. And if there were better offers out there, they should have been made since everyone knows I am selling.

The two major deals I made resulted in me having three of the four top pure hitting prospects in baseball (including Rendon) plus some other solid prospective pieces (Jennings, Turner, Kipnis). Now I wait and see if enough of these players emerge as quality major league hitters assuming this league's existence in three years. At that point, I can hopefully fill in the holes. In no way do I think I stole anybody. My whole message was helping you now and helping me later.

Well, it shows commitment for the future of this league so I guess that's good

Don't worry. I won't be going anywhere. Just let me know where to give my gift this year.

My last two pickups have been Fernando Rodney and Miguel Batista. :bag: :bag: My name is eephus and I'm addicted to crap relievers.

Some of my latest have been Scott Downs, Somebody Boggs, Kevin Jepsen. My name is Berserker and I'm addicted too, but my taste is even crappier.

I'm apparently too uppity for this closer chasing. Anyone who meets my lofty standards usually gets picked up a couple hours before I get there.

Punting saves is a viable strategy, right?

2-time Serious Business champ Rock n Rolen would say yes....then kick you in the head with a round house kick.

Tried to send a message to you but your inbox is filledGot a trade offer out there involving Axford, let me know what you think.

Who's in charge of the Pink Taco Posse? I know it was Dr D and what his face, who is it now? seriously, team makes 5 transaction every day. Got everyone held up on waivers. It's ridiculous.

Complaining because someone is TOO active. Fresh.
Too active? We're not talking trades here. I don't consider that being active. And I'm not really complaining. I'm just real surprised someone can make that many moves. then when I do go to add someone, he's either just been picked up or recently dropped and locked. I;m being serious, have you ever seen so many transactions out of one team? Maybe Cosjobs in Cake but that's all I can think of.

I tried explaining it on the league board. It's basically trying to cobble together a Frankenstein roster while our top four players are injured. I can assure you the activity will die down once those guys come back. Believe me, it has not been a pleasure trying to milk a good day out of the Emilio Bonafacio's of the world. We're dealing with freak rainouts, players suddenly leaving to be with their pregnant wives/girlfriends, checking astrological charts, doing RHP vs LHB and Home vs Away graphs just to even try to stay in 7th/8th place. If you appeal to the commissioner to take away waiver days and make those players immediate free agents, I'll stand right by your side and back your play. I'd love to eliminate "waiver days".

If you expect the Posse to feel bad that you have to work a little harder to win this thing :violin:

Wait... Hosmer was promoted. That destroys my timeline. I think I have to let him go.... Anybody have any high school kids with potential.

We know all your current players are just placeholders until August when you can scout the Little League World Series. ;)

I don't know why I ever dropped him and Yonder. I'm around if anyone wants to deal me an older stud for LaPorta or something.

If this league keeps going long enough, we'll all be making all-star teams out of players we dropped or traded cheap back in their prospect days.

I'm interested in Hosmer.

Hey Eephus, Angel Berroa was a placeholder for George Springer
OK. Missed it. Pick up the Springer created player once he clear waivers. If you want to add a unlisted player, please PM me and I'll create a player. I don't monitor the Leage Message Board, especially if it scrolls off the home page.

With Soria on the path to Kuo-ness, I need a closer. Send lopsided offers (or good ones if you are so inclined) my way.

Willing to consider offers for David Wright. Long term he's a franchise player, but short term his back is messed up and that's not helping me.

Also still have plenty of depth at SP that I would let go fairly cheap. Sanchez, Wood, Duffy, Montgomery, etc.

Anybody else put a claim in for Colby Lewis? Kind of surprised a) he was released and b)I got him with my waiver spot.

I am up to 8 major league players with an extra one on the DL. :hophead:

And I was surprised by Lewis as well and if I had a might contend in next 2 years type club, I would have claimed him.

At last year's All-Star break, eephus had 65 pts but finished with 97.5. I wouldn't rule anyone out yet...except boubacarow.

Also at last year's break, Sparty had 54.5. This year, he's at 93. Nicely done.
