Serious Business Dynasty League (1 Viewer)

I thought ESPN couldn't support minimum IP? Also, ESPN is free, right?
ESPN is free and can support our roster sizes. Downsides are no minimum IP (which has happened once in the five year history of the league) and probably some manual management/placeholders for low-level prospects.Fantrax has both a standard and premium ($60) option. It looks like the standard version meets our requirements but unless I'm missing something, it uses min/max games for pitchers rather than IP limits. I've only used Fantrax for the WIS B2F leagues. The interface is pretty meh.CBS is $160 which seems exhorbitant for a $50 league.Yahoo supports a roster maximum of 30.

Considering all the features that could be missing, the minimum IP is actually something we can monitor fairly easily on our own.

I have a friend who works at CBSsports Interactive and I sent him the following email this morning:
Hi Xxxxx, The fantasy baseball league I’ve played in for the last 5 years has used cbssports to manage/run our league. Our league is only a $50 buy-in and some of the managers are looking at other alternatives (ESPN, Yahoo, Fantrax etc.) because of the $160 fee CBS charges seems a little exorbitant for a $50 league. Now my question, do you have any promotional “Friends & Family” discount codes we could use to stay with CBS another year or can you recommend any alternatives? Thanks for your assistance.
He replied with the following:
It looks like the league expired, I should be able to fix that bug today. Thanks
Now when I go to our league page it no longer says it expired. It looks like he waived the fee for us.

2. Finalize 2013 fees ($50?) and treasurer

3. One round add/drop draft in reverse 2012 standings order

4. Open transactions

Returning owners: please check in here

2. I'm in for $50, LeagueSafe or other.

I set up the league in LeagueSafe and will send out invitations on Monday. If somebody has problems with the international cabal of finance and would rather transact their fees with goats, stamps or coupons, let me know before then.

Here's the order for the one round add/drop draft. Hoos can start whenever, or he can wait for his draft pick to enter kindergarten

We'll probably have an intermission when the Finless pick comes up. I haven't heard from him in a month. If anyone has a better way to get a hold of him than Facebook, please jump in.

I am at a soccer tournament and will pick tonight. If Cliff shows let him pick ahead of me for the good of the league. Tell him he's up now on facebook.

Take your time. A pick tonight will be fine. We're only doing one round and the season doesn't start for two weeks.I'm hoping for the best but I'm getting concerned we may have to find a caretaker manager for Finless. He hasn't been active on FB since shortly after he said he wanted to stay in the league. That was almost six weeks ago. His team is decent.HittersPosey, Buster(1B,C) SF Konerko, Paul(1B) CHW Phillips, Brandon(2B) CIN Cabrera, Miguel(3B) DET Hardy, J.J.(SS) BAL Escobar, Yunel(SS) TB Seager, Kyle(2B,3B) SEA Braun, Ryan(OF) MIL Davis, Rajai(OF) TOR Reddick, Josh(OF) OAK Rios, Alex(OF) CHW Hunter, Torii(OF) DET Young, Delmon(OF) PHI Saltalamacchia, Jarrod© BOS Pacheco, Jordan(1B,3B) COL Castellanos, Nick(3B) DET Lee, Hak-Ju(SS) TB Almora, Albert(OF) CHC Hicks, Aaron(OF) MIN Yelich, Christian(OF) MIA Boesch, Brennan(OF) DET Cuddyer, Michael(1B,OF) COL Tabata, Jose(OF) PIT Active Beckett, Josh(P) LAD Bell, Heath(P) ARI Buchholz, Clay(P) BOS Holland, Derek(P) TEX Lee, Cliff(P) PHI Nathan, Joe(P) TEX Romero, Ricky(P) TOR Volquez, Edinson(P) SD Weaver, Jered(P) LAA Barnes, Matt(P) BOS Doubront, Felix(P) BOS Odorizzi, Jake(P) TB Porcello, Rick(P) DET Storen, Drew(P) WAS

Ok. Lost on penalty shootout when my seven year old son hit the top crossbar. That was tough. He doesn't even care. He said he will drill it next time. Future closer?

PIK is still up in the add/drop draft.

I've PMed him with options on the Finless/Clifton situation. If anybody else has any bright ideas about how to handle this, please let me know.

After consulting with PIK, I've PMed three people who expressed interest in the league last month. If one of them wants to take over Fin/Clif's team, it's a move we have to do now to keep the league going. Hopefully he's alright and we can figure something out later.

I'm going to take a shot at that Tigers possible closer Bruce Rondon. Cliff replacement is up.

May I suggest we skip him and figure it out after this FA draft is over? It really is an advantage to wait out the last week of ST for a pick as some unexpected values may emerge.

The problem is that some of the appeal of taking over the team gets diminished by a skip here.Cheese just declined the offer to take over. I'll start a new thread to try to drum up interest. If we have no takers by this time tomorrow, Fin/Clift will be skipped and we'll move on.

We can just proxy a pick if you think it makes that big of a difference. Let's just pick an agreeable area of "need" and give him BPA.
