Serious Business Dynasty League (1 Viewer)

Benched Cole Hamels' poor start yesterday.

Some might think I was just lazy and forgot to set my lineup, but that's not it at all. I'm that good.

I am a seller. Especially pitching. Im looking for young bats or bat prospects. Valverde is available if you need saves. Ichiro has gotta turn it around imo. He can be had fairly cheap.

I have even more closers than usual. So many in fact that I'm not able to speculate on closer prospects. Let me have my hobby back.

C: Meh but could be worse

Rod Barajas 206 PAs .219/.291/.377

Michael McKenry 124 PAs .243/.323/.505

Salvador Perez 56 PAs .364/.375/.655

1B: Smoak has been terrible. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of spare at bats elsewhere to fill in here

Justin Smoak 336 PAs .201/.265/.328

2B: Who I thought he was

Robinson Cano 374 PAs .315/.374/.582

3B: Still no SS eligibility but I don't have enough backup 3B innings if he did

Hanley Ramirez 370 PAs .248/.324/.421

SS: Hairston and Nelson will be D- defense. Barmes is D- offense

Clint Barmes 268 PAs .206/.228/.296

Jerry Hairston Jr. 201 PAs .295/.370/.420

Chris Nelson 182 PAs .255/.324/.412

OF: Huge problem. Not enough quantity or quality

Nelson Cruz 351 PAs .265/.319/.437

Michael Cuddyer 328 PAs .263/.314/.483

Chris B. Young 202 PAs .203/.302/.412

Franklin Gutierrez and Ryan Kalish aren't much help. Michael Taylor, Travis Snider and Fernando Martinez haven't met the WIS minimum yet.

SP: So far, so good but not much depth

Madison Bumgarner 123 IP 1.068 WHIP

Edwin Jackson 101 IP 1.135 WHIP

Clayton Richard 127 IP 1.181 WHIP

Trevor Cahill 109 IP 1.279 WHIP

Carlos Zambrano 101 IP 1.381 WHIP

Roy Oswalt has been terrible

RP: Usable innings from:

Kenley Jansen

Jim Johnson

Hisanori Takahashi

Matt Belisle

Kameron Loe

Alfredo Simon

and it goes downhill from there.

I want to make a trade

I need to make a trade

This is my 1st season back into root after a looong hiatus & have never gone this far into a season without making a deal.

Votto and Stanton both going down may be the final nail in my season but I'm going down swinging...

Now someone trade me a closer.

I'll trade you SP for a bat all day long. Gio is untouchable but thats probably it.

I want Stanton and have closers I believe.
I'm not actually looking to trade Stanton, despite his injury. I was only willing to trade Pedroia because Hill and Altuve have been playing so well.
I want him if you change your mind.
Currently 2nd place in Saves, I have 4 closers with over 10 saves and I love Stanton too. I would trade anyone on my team plus a closer for him.

It looks like we're headed towards a potential rules situation. Hoos is currently at 359 2/3 IP and is trending to 432 by the end of the season, which is short of our league minimum of 500.

According to CBS' default rules:

Each team's pitching staff must accumulate at least 900 innings pitched over the course of the season or it will be placed in last place in the team ERA and WHIP categories. Each team's batters must accumulate a total of at least 3,950 at-bats or it will be placed in last place in Batting Average (or On-Base Percentage and Slugging Percentage in Roto-Plus leagues).
I assume they same thing will happen with custom league minimums. If Hoos doesn't reach the minimum level, he currently stands to lose 19 points (11 in WHIP and 8 in ERA). This probably won't have any impact on the top of the table but could change a position or two.

The regular season ends on Wednesday Oct 3. I'm pretty sure any tiebreaker play-in games won't count in fantasy scoring.

Year end rosters will be frozen on Friday Oct 5, so speculate away.

:thanks: guys! It's funny now, but I thought I was cooked when Ryan Madson went down in Spring Training.

After donating to the league for the first couple years, it's nice to finally finish in the money. 8th place finish in 2010 and 5th place last year, things can change quicker than you think in dynasty, if you're guys can stay healthy. Just ask Pik95, from 1st last year to 9th.

Payments coming soon. I want commitments for next year also. It's nice to see an expansion team win it all even if it derailed my three peat!
