Pretty much everything on top 40 radio at any given moment is inferior to Arcade Fire. I mean, it's summertime! This is when pop music is supposed to pull out it's big guns! Have you heard this dreck lately? This year's summer music crop makes me miss Robin Thicke and Florida Georgia Line for chrissakes. Give me Arcade Fire all day over this flotsam.

Yep. The whole album and others afterward were actually refreshing to hear on what was, at the time, utterly stagnant modern rock radio that seemingly had nowhere to go. No bag. Art Alexakis takes a lot of heat for being a 90's alternative radio band, but that's all there was for those pigeonholed stations at the time to play.
